When the guy come after u kill someone he give u a quest and a knife. Is there anything special about the knife?

(eg = instant kill?)

The Dark Brotherhood quests were the best out of all the guilds.  And all quest have you kill someone.  However, there is a really good storyline that goes with the DB faction.

When you get into the DB at a certain point you will be given a black horse called Shadowmere.  And the horse is great.
