I was a big fan of Morrowind, I thought Oblivion was really really boring... the story was totally lacking, and the leveled loot and enemies was horrid.
Fallout 3 cannot be worse than that game, it just can't be
Maybe I was unfair on the game in my previous post, I should have tried out some other modes before slating the game like that. I'm a big fan of GTA, maybe I expected to much from the multiplayer. I'll give it another go tomorrow.
For the record I like the single player game a lot. I think the city is incredible, Rockstar done a great job on it. Shame they didn't include more things to do. Maybe DLC will fix the issues I have with it.
I thought I would try it after hearing good things about it. I joined a death match type of game, basically it was a bunch of badly drawn characters running around a park at night shooting each other with weak weapons.
It was probably the lamest thing I've played this generation, what surprised me was the amount of people playing it. People were actually lining up to play this crap.
I turned it off after about 20 minutes and never went back to it, pure ****.
I might have bought it if it had come out in a different month. To many games coming out , not enough cash for them all so some games have to be cut, Silent hill is one of them. People are saving for stuff like Gears 2, Fallout 3, Left 4 dead, Banjoe, Fable 2. Silent hill Homecoming will get lost in the crowd this winter. Should have been released in January 2009 or last month. It's not strong enough to stand against these big hitters.
You say DLC is a terrible thing, then you go on to say you think DLC like Shivering isles is a good thing. You are flip flopping on the issue and you make your argument sound weak. You're either for or against DLC, there is no middle ground. Without DLC there is no Halo 3 expansion in early 2009, there is no new maps for Team Fortress 2 or COD4. You say they should offer us these things for free because we bought their game?. Sorry but you payed for content that was finished, not a developers work for the next 12 months after the game is released. I don't sell someone a car and then fit new shiny rims on it for free a year later, why should developers keep your game topped up with free **** that they have to work on ?.
Like I said you're either for or against DLC, it's not a console only problem either, jumping ship to PC will not save you.
At the end of the day the point still stands, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY DLC. When you bought Halo 3 or whatever game, you happily handed over your money, no one made you buy that game. You knew what you were getting in the box. No point whining about it later when devs release extra content. You got what you payed for end of story.
If you want free stuff in this world go write begging letters to lottery winners.
