The biggest one newegg currently has is 320gb.

Theoritically, could the PS3 hold a bigger HDD? I'm sure there is some limit, right?

I'd want to wait a little while to get a bigger HDD so I can just move all my media to the PS3 (winter, early next year), but I just wanted to know if there was a point in waiting...thanks!

If not, has it been mentioned if a patch is coming out?

I know the wording might seem wierd, but let me clarify.

Right now at home, my brother has a PS3. If I login using my PSN I, and start playing games, will those trophies still be present when I am at school and playing my PS3 there?

Does that make sense? Basically can I add trophies from more than one location?

It would make sense if it did, but maybe they didn't put it in...so people couldn't just go to their friends house that beat the game and login.

If anyone can check I'd really appreciate it!

I never really used this before.

I usually end up making little notepad things and writing random things down and putting them on my computer (what songs to listen to, random things to do...)

I thought it might be a little easier if I did it via google docs...only because I had my HDD fail on my before, and lost a good deal of those txt files.

How do I make sure the document I create is only viewable by me?

Which method do you think would be the most secure...and just overall better?

The network is currently using WEP protection (that' all)...would that be good enough to share a drive/make a FTP?

I think I know how to do this if all are using the same OS (Vista).

I am not sure how it works with the main computer (with the HDD) being XP. Will that cause a problem or will it still work fine?

Here is our currently setup.

One desktop in the home "library" which is hardwired to the internet, and where the router/cable modem and everything else is.

Then my two brothers have a laptop, and so do I.

2 laptops are using Vista Home Premium

1 desktop/1laptop are using XP

I'm pretty much the only one that knows anything about tech (and it isn't that much)...the rest just use it for school/email/internet/storing picture and stuff like that.

Anyways, none of them backup anything. And instead of buying 3 seperate external HDDs and teching them all how to plug it in, safely remove and all that...

I was thinking about getting a 1tb hdd (they are only like $150 now!). And somehow getting that to appear as a network drive or something, so they can each view it from "my computer" on their own personal machines.

That way I'll just get them to drag whatever new file they make there and won't have to worry about other things.

Is this possible, and how would I go about setting up the HDD to do that?

Say you don't want all the "little" news...but want to hear a lot of the big stories.

Lots of times big news sites take sometime to update...and when they do, they try to get as much info as they can (since it's a big event)...so you may miss some big news.

How are you going to follow it?

Forum posts here? Other sites? TV? Podcasts?

I think I might have a virus on my computer, I tried cleaning it, but I think something i still there. I know the PS3 runs on a different OS, so the virus likely won't effect the PS3 exactly.

But say I copy some pictures via USB drive to my PS3, and my computer put a virus on the usb as well. If I move some stuff my the PS3 to another computer via USB drive, is there any chance the virus can mess up the other computer?

Paul has enough money to hang around till the end. Will he get the nod as a Dem or Rep...no.

Even though he said he wouldn't run as a 3rd party, I wouldn't put it past him. He really can't say he's going to do it now, because it's kind of like quitting. The longer he sticks around, and the less people there are in debates, the more air time he gets. If he runs as a 3rd party now, he gets no debate time, and very little talk.

If the message really is as powerful as some people believe, and word keeps spreading, I think he has sometype of a shot--not likely a good one, but a shot.

I really think McCain isn't going to do anything. If he gets the partys nod, he's just going to get spanked by Hilary or Obama.
