After 3 years on gamespot I'm proud to present my first prediction for a game score. 9.0Crash6

That's what I think it will get, scores are kinda all over the place with this game, but I've not seen anyone say the actual gameplay is worse than Ninja Gaiden on Xbox, many seem to think it's actually better. Game just hasn't evolved enough as a sequel to deserve a high score. But from what I've seen the game looks great and seems to play great (very fluid, fast, lots of nice combos ect), I will be there day 1 no matter what score it gets.

You shouldn't put too much credence into review scores. They can be useful at times, but they're not the end-all-be-all when determining the quality of the game.

Ok i've read 3 reviews so far and everyone of them says it has unbalanced difficulty. I think that's what is dragging the score down. Not the bad story. I'm still getting it and everyone who liked the first game should. This game still looks bloody awesome...i've been waiting for it for 4 years.

Kratos_OMEGA

They must have short memories as Ninja Gaiden on Xbox had certain parts that were REALLY frustrating and poorly designed, some of the bow and arrow sections spring to mind, some of the jumping on platforms ect. Ninja Gaiden also had the bad camera and some uninspiring level design. But they over looked it because the core game was so awesome and felt fresh at the time. Now Ninja Gaiden 2 doesn't feel as fresh as it sticks to the same formula as the last game, so it can't possibly score as high. But it still plays just as good as the previous game. It got a 9/10 for gameplay from IGN, that's great. NG fans will have a blast with it, I want to see the gametrailers review as I usually agree with them. But the low scores have not put me off getting this game, I saw a video of a boss fight today, and it looked amazing, I can't wait to play this.

The reason NG2 is scoring around the 8 mark is because it's not doing anything new and some of the old problems remain, such as frustrating spikes in difficulty, camera angles being messed up. I'm a little bummed this isn't the next big thing in action games, but will still be there day one as it's still 100% Ninja Gaiden and is still awesome for fans of the last game.

Do you think Nintendo has abondoned their core audience in favour of casuals who don't even know about the pre Wii days?. I do. I saw this earlier

This was on Ellen, she gave Wii consoles & Wii Fit to every member of her audience!. Look how excited these non gaming women get at the sight of a Wii, it's their console, not ours. Nintendo has betrayed us. I bought a Wii, but I will be selling it as two games a year aimed at hardcore Nintendo fans is not enough for me. You can have all the soccer moms in the world Nintendo, just don't expect your real fans to stick around to see you slap them in the face.

Maybe next gen you will remember who got you to where you are today.

And you can just tell from this comment that the reviewer has no respect for the man who made the game or fans of the game. He's a Ninja Gaiden hater through and through

The saving grace here is the fanbase. If you're in this group, there's no reason why you won't love Ninja Gaiden 2, despite its faults. You don't care about next-gen graphics, level design and fairness, right? You like having Tomonobu Itagaki stamp on your ego, rob your of sanity and **** down your throat.

This review is just horrible.

Why are reviews coming out based on old builds that have frame rate problems?, they were told to wait for retail copies of the game as these issues are fixed.

I just can't take reviews seriously anymore, it's like they are done by children who are running as fast as they can to win da race. Just pathetic.

You'll love

* Gory, slice and dice combat
* Easy-access sub-menu
* Punishing difficulty makes victory that much sweeter

You'll hate

* Horrible camera that gets stuck behind things
* Lousy level graphics that don't jibe with the pretty-looking gore
* Punishing difficulty makes victory nigh-impossible

teh flop is strong with this one.

Dreams-Visions

Maybe you can tell me how this makes any sense

You'll love

* Punishing difficulty makes victory that much sweeter

You'll hate

* Punishing difficulty makes victory nigh-impossible

:? seems to me the reviewer sucked really hard at the game and got his knickers in a twist and forgot how to write a review. I will listen to other more credible review sites that are not run by monkeys when I decide to check out this game. How can the difficulty be a plus and a minus

Review is a total failure.

MGS4 only gets attention because it's a PS3 exclusive, same reason Haze was hyped. No one else cares about these average games. And MGS4 looks dated graphics wise, Gears 2 and even Killzone 2 kill it stone dead.

I wouldn't say Halo 3 is the best console FPS, but it sure does beat every PC FPS out there gameplay wise. Hermits will complain, but the simple truth is any game that requires you to use a keyboard = ultimate failure.

Look at NG, NGB and NGS sales.....Not even one reached 1 million copies......

Even more shocking is......Look at NG Dragon Sword on DS.......Even with very large DS, this game sold horrible....

To me lems OVERHYPE this game too much.....It`s good franchise but mediocre at best.....I can`t believe lems hype this game as 360 system seller.....To me it will be miracle if NG2 sales reach 1 million.....

Foxhound_spy

Calling Ninja Gaiden mediocre is proof you're not even a gamer, either that or I'm sensing massive amounts of bitter tears because NG2 looks to be the best damn action game ever made.
