That actually is a HUGE loss. Monster Hunter is absolutely huge in Japan.

Repetitive enemy design...gameplay as not nearly as deep as GoW. I'm sorry, it's just a poor mans GoW with a female and pretty graphics...but it definitely isn't the prettiest game I've ever seen to make up for it's shortcomings.

I call BS at the line Unreal 4 Engine...
Lmao, 3 engine is still state of the art and it's feature list actually exceeds both the 360's and PS3's capabilities. Unreal 4 Engine wouldn't be very advanced if it still was made to run on a outdated DX9 spec like the PS3's/Xbox 360's GPU's. By 2009 if a Unreal 4 Engine were to emerge, it would be a DX 10 or 11 engine...and no matter what fanboys like to conjure up...the PS3 isn't gonna grow DX10 functionality in 2009 to adapt.

[QUOTE="espoac"]I know the PS3 isn't the easiest console to develop for, yes, however how hard is it really, to port a PC game from 2004 to the most powerful console on the market in 2007? Pathetic.-Spock-

I hear they aren't even touching the Cell's seven available SPEs..

6*
One is dedicated to the XMB... and the 8th is disabled cause PS3's don't yield to well with it enabled. Your wonderful fun filled PS3 fact for the day!

Well since each host playstation is a server it can't happen until everyone stops playingCorreyov31

I'd seriously doubt the servers are going down...but this statement is incorrect...as Playstation Network games aren't like the other systems online service, they have dedicated servers provided by the dev like a computer game...your console doesn't host the game or use P2P like the other console, it has a dedicated server system to find all the games being played...if that goes down, no one can play online.

Had a brief stint as a cell phone tower climber...dangerous as sh*t, but I made enough on one job to buy PS3 3 times over cause of it's high liability...I even had a life insurance policy that came out of my pay...but I still had enough for it three times over...when it actually came down to getting a PS3...it wasn't even a hard sell...I have so much money in the bank from that.

[QUOTE="feel_freetwo"][QUOTE="pancake203"]the graphics in the game are going to be better then halo, the new features are going to be to upgrade weapons what metal gear solid or halo game was able to do that. a camo suit that takes color of your inviroment what game does that tell me please. it just a whole new experince. halo has not change much what new weapons. halo focus on the multiplayer more because to most fans that is more important not mgs they make sure you get the best experince in a single player game.that is why metal gear solid should receive a 10henry4th

mgs 3 did the whole camo thing, they have just made it slightly easier to do. and upgrading weapons is nothing new, infact mgs1 had that with adding a silencer to the socom. and cyrsis seems to be changing what customization is all about.

Many games have done weapon upgrades. But real time morphing (color changing) on a camo suite has not been done by any other game (not I know of) in this complexity.

Now, I'm waiting for the much improved AI and the "emotion states of enemies).

It's not that amazing...alot of games have texture swapping...it's like the equivalent of having a blood splatter appear on a character model when you hit it...also...they just have to create a model for each texture you can change to in the game...that's it...it's hardly "real-time" as if you notice in the 15 minute gameplay demo...the texture on snakes model for the floor and the actual floor don't match up...it's just a standard texture of the floor that was programmed onto Snakes character model...it's hardly "complex" fade effect + echoing of old texture + pre-done floor texture Snake model = fancy texture swap. I dunno what is so complex about that. It would be complex if the floor model actually matched to the exact spot he was laying on, and it would do that for every spot on the floor...but it doesn't matter where he'd actually lay on that floor, the texture for it would always be the same...cause it was made before hand...just a texture swap...MGS 3 style...cept they added a fade effect to fade out the old texture...and put in the new one.

you said will it recieve a 8.0 like the other two but metal gear solid son's of liberty got a 9.6 and snake eater got 8.7 thats nota 8.0. In my opinion it will recieve a 10 because it will be something new gamerswill play with the ability to help who ever, just the new features aloneshould be rated a 10. Unlike halo where the gameplay stays the same pancake203

I've seen nothing but refinements in all the manuevers you could do in the past 3 games...not "something new". It's more like "Look you can walk while crouched now...hide in dumpsters instead of lockers...and you can choose to fight for the PMC's or the RESISTANCE!!! That's never been done before...to choose a side in a video game?!". What are these new features that make it a miraculous 10? I'm not saying it isn't gonna be good...but I obviously didn't see the same things you did in all the vids that have been released over the years with this new innovative never been done in a video game before features you speak of.

[QUOTE="NickinAround"]PS3 current can't upconvert PS3 games.
1080p is a very demanding resolution. Most widerscope games (not sports) generally would have trouble keeping a stable framerate.teebeenz
Actually several titles including R7C can scale up.

It's not hardware scaling though. The devs had to actually support the mode in their code. I think he was asking for something more akin to the other consoles ability to scale any game to any supported resolution on your TV.
