But FFXIII and Versus are the big production ones and major games and are exclusive to PS3. The 360 will probably get a Dirge of Cerberus like crap shooter and the Wii will get a Chocobo racing or some casual junk and Crystal Chronicles.axt113
No its speculated that FF13 and VS. will be exclusive, but Sony confirmed that its under discussion
To keep the titles on their platform, duh. I swear, Sony finally gets aggressive about keeping titles on their system realizing development costs are rising and alot of developers are making multiplatform games, and somehow this gets spinned as a bad thing for them.
it'll take a lot of money to swing that, PS3 sold under 14K last week
And if they're talking to SE about it, they're obviously willing to pay it. Of course PS3 sales are going to lack in Japan, they're aren't any games. When Gundam came out PS3 nearly doubled. It takes games, once they come, the sales will rise. This stuff is not hard to figure out.
Wii is selling awesome and it hasn't gotten its big games yet
The Wii has also had alot of hype backing it up. That, and less than half the price of the PS3. I mean come on, this stuff is elementary.
Its not Hype, its appeal, Wii appeals to a much larger audience than the PS3, and while price is a reason its not as big as you think, other consoles have lost even when they cost less than their competition, no its major reason is still appeal
It's hype, it's in the same boat as the Digipets or Furby's were at some point. So you're honestly saying that if the PS3 was the same price as the Wii, it still wouldn't be selling as much? Price is a factor, it's a MAJOR FACTOR. When was the last time a Nintendo system was less than half the price of a Sony console?
Yup it wouldn't sell as much because it wouldn't have a blu-ray drive or HD graphics, sony wouldn't be able to put it in at $250, price is a factor but its only a factor when included in appeal, Wii isn't about hype, since most of the appeal comes from people actually playing it and loving it,
hype is what Sony does before their console launches, and it fizzled this time, Wii is about Appeal, it gives ease of pickup and play gaming, which appeals to most people, its not in the same boat as Furby's, and the fact that its $250 is a bonus to it, but its not the major factor, if it was 360 would be a huge seller in japan, since the core is only $50 more, but its not, becasue it lacks the appeal of the Wii
I was speaking hypothetically, if you say price doesn't matter, then it wouldn't matter what's included in the system, the Wii would still sell more according to you. I'm telling you that would not be the case.
I don't think you understand what i'm saying. I'm using the term hype in the same context as you're using the term appeal. Only to say that is what is driving alot of the sales, there has been a great amount of hype of the Wii being this family oriented system, that all can enjoy. That's what has been pushing alot of the sales. It sure as hell ain't the software, I own the best titles on the system.
And your last example was terrible. Japan hates XBOX, that's why the Core didn't sell over there.
