Hey guys, what's your favorite PS3 game of all time?
Ninja_Zombie83's forum posts
Don't mind the flamers OP. If your first sentence would have started with "What do you think about BulletstormVS Duke Nukem" and THEN you went on your rant as a reply to your own question to get everyone started, everything would have been fine.
Some people on these forums go bananas when they see a post that isn't "What's your favorite (blank)", "I'm having problems with my PS3", "(blank CoD" and"(blank) game is overrated" so instead of ignoring the topic and moving on with life, they feel its their duty to put you in your place in a rude manner. Ignore those idiots and just edit your post in the form of a question so they have room to voice their hollow opinion's.
Now to voice mine.... I agree that both DN and BS are tounge and cheek humor with crude elements used to sell their games. I loved this when I was a kid and now that I am older I have to say...its still great! Sometimes you need a break from those serious games that go off of how "real" something is or what deep plot you are fighting for and just kick back and laugh. That's what DN and BS are for.
Its ok if you got older and your tastes have changed. You don't have to play those types of games anymore, but it doesn't mean that those games shouldn't exist for everyone else.
I still say 2012 and I'm sticking to it. :)
- When it does come out, I think it will be aimed at being more casual to capture a wider audience much like Nintendo did with the Wii and Microsoft is doing with the Kinect.
- I think it will be backwards compatable with the PS3 to retain their customer base.
- I believe the industry will be heading towards a digital era. The option to download games will follow what Netflix and Hulu are doing to the movie industry and what iTunes is doing to the music industry. Since HDD are getting larger and larger, it would make for a good business move and would save lost revenue in used game purchases over new game purchases.
- I also foresee trophies having a monitary value to encourage purchases, gameplay and justification for my next prediction...
- Monthly service fee's will hit the PS4, eventually making the transition from PSPlus. This would offset the cheap price the PS4 would need to have in order to stay competitive and justify improved features.
IMO these changes are business savey. It saves companies money by cutting out the middle man, it is more convienient for the consumer, rewards the player and gives Sony an edge over their competitors.
Ask yourself these questions.
If a console offered features like cross-game chat etc, a discount on games if you downloaded them, played your PS3 games, would let you purchase things with your trophies, allif you paid a MSF...would you be interested? I think most would.
Would this be a profitable business move for Sony? I don't see why not.
The question of whether gaming is productive or not has already been answered; it can be. Just like medication, too much of a good thing can be bad. What I wanted to know was if it was productive for you because I wanted to know its practicality towards general gamers.Playing videogames is never going to be seen as a productive way to spend time. Never has playing videogames been called productive or ever will be see as productive.
For the simple reason is that you are "playing" which is not productive. Your are doing something to relax, have fun, Something that you enjoy. But playing videogames or playing anything else is not Productive.
Playing is never productive.
