Software it depends, I don't regret buying games on launch day, I don't play online so it doesn't matter when I purchase the game.

Systems maybe, I wanted to buy a Switch at launch but I didn't because I got a PS4 a few months before the Switch was released.

The last system I purchased at launch was the Wii U.

No maybe when the Xbox One X gets actual exclusives and just console exclusives.

The only games that interest me on the Xbox One X are also on PC.

I purchase systems for exclusives and PS4 offers exclusives that interest me: Uncharted, Horizon, Spider-Man and Ghost of Tsushima.

There is still some games I didn't get for PS4 but it was one of the reasons I wanted the system, Bloodborne.

Adding EA Black Box

They made some good Need For Speed games and they made the Skate series.

Their last game was Need For Speed: The Run in 2011. EA closed them in 2013.

I started my sons on classic NES and Snes games... Then moved them up from there.

Modern gaming is a watery fart compared to many of the classics and should not he missed. My sons had the same experience I had with the first Zelda, or kotor or punch out etc, because I didn't skip them ahead.

My one nephew started on NES that was when I was still new to Gamespot.

His brother wasn't really interested in games at all, though he likes some games on the N64 but he also plays PS4. His favorite games is Minecraft for some reason.

I remember playing PC games on my neighbor's PC he had Windows '95.

I preferred consoles I still do but I also used to game on PC since then we didn't get our first computer until 1998.

But I took breaks between years, I think between 2002 and 2010 I didn't play any PC games. I took a break from PC gaming again from 2014/2015 through just last month.

I've been playing consoles since 1988 or 1989.

One game I loved on the GCN, PS2, and Xbox was Metal Arms: Glitch in the System.

It got a rerelease on the Xbox 360 in 2008. It was a great game but it didn't get a sequel.

The developer Swingin' Ape Studios was put to work on StarCraft: Ghost after they got purchased by Blizzard. Then when Blizzard cancelled StarCraft: Ghost they killed the developer.

I'm playing Europa Universalis IV.

I'm still new to the game, I'm playing as the Ottomans. I'm missing a lot since this is basically my first play through of the game. I started two other campaigns but I didn't get far into them.

When I was younger my parents used to play games with us.

I remember when I about 4 or 5 and my parents were playing Adventure Island on NES after we went to bed. I came out of my room because I heard the theme music playing. My mom sometimes played Dr Mario, Tetris, and the first two Sonic the Hedgehog games all day when we were at school.

My mom and dad would also get us games for Christmas, I would say I didn't ask for this game, they said "yeah we got that game for ourselves but gave it to you" My sister did that last year with my nephew she gave him Injustice: Game of the Year Edition but it was really for her.

My dad also used to play Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 on Dreamcast and GTA III on PS2 with us.
