My opinion is based on a wide range of online games all the way from old school mmorpg like Tibia to a new school mmorpg like Guild Wars 2. As well as newest installment of Call of Duty and Counter-Strike since the 1.6 version. People are much more arrogant these days. If they are "good", they will not encourage newbies nor help them, they will simply insult them and basicly let their arrogance shine. No moral at all. My latest experience was on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. I've played it for 28 hours in total (says my steam account), joined a match today. It was going fine, teams were pretty even and no cheaters were around. There's this guy in our team who starts telling everyone where to go, fine, it's a good to have someone command. Suddenly he starts insulting everyone who does a mistake, yelling on the mic "you all suck, how can u be so bad", etc. We weren't really whining back, thought we'd let him whine in peace. Well then one of us missclicked and hit him on the feet, he simply just killed that guy off, didn't even accept the apology. This guy kept bitching about how bad we were through the whole game, even though it was pretty even all the way through. Such arrogance has grown, a lot in the recent years. I don't know what's happening around, but how come all of a sudden kids lost respect, ignored all the basic "gentleman" rules and simply just behave cocky. It's not fun for anyone. And after all, we're playing games, supposed to be fun right?

Okay guys, if you feel the urge to start Tibia. I might as well help you out. You can find my main characters, Vonome and Vangrael on the server called Titania. But I wouldn't recommend that server for newcomers. It's mainly for players who seek only war, there isn't much of a newbie community there and nobody ever on english chat. However, I recently started Antica, the first server created in Tibia. This is a normal pvp server, but has the best community of all the avalaible PvP servers. I wouldn't recommend Aurora/Aurera for newbies either, those servers will have testing phases for new PvP system and during that time things can get kind of rough, resets may occur, etc. So I'd recommend y'all come to see me on Antica, under the name Theseus. I know pretty much everything about this game, so I can help you out with knowledge. But can't do much about the money problem on Antica as I started there recently myself too. But I have to warn you guys, Tibia is highly addictive. Most people who start it will never quit. This has been said even by WoW players, even in the beginning of WoW some Tibians tried to change their mmo to playing WoW only, but kept coming back to Tibia. I don't know how it feels like to be a newcomer in todays Tibia, but based on my experience, well, here I am after 9 years on/off playing.

I'd recommend you to try Tibia in this case.xWoW_Rougex
I wouldn't recommend Tibia. I'm a level 134 elite knight and a level 116 master sorcerer there. Played since 2004 and that game is ruined by botters, cheaters and the most idiotic community in the whole wild world. It's not that the game doesn't have potential, but honestly, it's a dead game. It may be fun at first, but gets very repeatitive and the lack of having a community will eat you alive. It will become ultimately boring.

Eventually I will probably have both Xbox One and PS4, however for the time being it will be only PS4. This is probably because it's cheaper and a hundred dollars, or in my country, euros is not a little money. You can basicly get a PS4 + 2 games for the same price you can get a Xbox One. For starters that is a BIG difference. However Xbox One does have some exclusive games that are must have, therefore, I will most likely buy one when it's a little cheaper and I've got some more money. Also, I hope PS4 has a better controller than they did in the previous years, because Xbox pretty much always had a better controller.

Unless they allow us to get some code to stream older games we already own for free, it pretty much sucks that we lost so much money on older games. Yes, I know one could have a PS3 and a PS2 connected to tv along the PS4, but come on! I don't even have space for all those and the other stuff I have connected on my tv. However, I'm trying to speedrun most of the games I haven't played yet so I've at least completed them once and my money won't go to waste. I brought some sucky games and traded for MGS: Rising (e.g. SSX), though, because that's simply a must play for a MGS fan like me.

As somebody who loved them back then, and they even were the reason I started skateboarding in real life.....

Nah man, they have been produced to death, overly repeated way too much, just bashing in 2, 3 new features every next installment just isn't enough to keep them fresh.

In a way, it's a good thing this genre at some point realised it did everything that's possible and accepted that, without becoming Skate of Duty.

Still skating in real life though and if you love boarding so much, you should try that out instead, way more fun than any new skating game could be ^^

I'm a skateboarder as well, like my brother and my friends. We've been skating since we were little kids and I agree with you, those skateboarding games kinda got us started with skating. However, have you tried out the Skate series?

^ Just saying, that unrealistic style wouldn't work. Not for me at least. I don't like SSX series for example. I hate them. So unrealistic, so not fun. I want to focus on doing awesome tricks that could be done in real life as well, realism is the key. Imagine if there was no real football game for the football maniacs, imagine if the only one out there was a football game with a bunch of famous game characters and 10 feet jumps, etc. Just not what we look for, is all. We don't want another Tony Hawk, we want a Skate 4!

^ But I don't think the skaters want another unrealistic Tony Hawk game. At least we in our skating community hope for another realistic skating game like Skate 1-3 were.

They really shouldn't die. There's a big fanbase out there "crying out loud" for a new skateboarding game. We even got awesome new ideas for the francise. They could unite with BMX, Bladers and Scooters. This way we'd have a even bigger fanbase.
