Nobarai Blog

I'm sorry

That I've not been on a whole bunch through out the last couple of months (I'm sure NirdBerd only cares somewhat XD). I haven't REALLY had a bunch of new games since then.

Leesee what I've acquired: Wii Fit (I've actually GAINED weight. WTF?!)

SMRPG (fun!)

Bomberman Blast

And I've picked up Drift City and Soldier Front over at ijji.com

It's really irritating not having a job. I mean, I've applied EVERYWHERE! Apparently, I'm not young to get a real job (15 in January), even though I hold A's and B's. If I had a job, I'd have World of Goo, Megaman 9, Animal Crossing, and Da Blob already. :(

17 days away from my first anniversary. Things that have happened during this year:

Got a Wii

Showed everyone my dark side when I get the flu.

Acquired 10+ friends, even though one only seems to post coments on a regular basis.

Got addicted to the GS Forums, then left when everyone only talked about the same crap.

Got addicted the the AVGN.

Had my parents break up.

Learned to ride a stick shift AND a dirtbike.

Got my own computer.

Went to High School.

Left my paper route.

Anyways. I'll try to be more active from now on. Good Night, and God bless!

o hai ther!

Has it really been almost 2 months since my last blog post?

Well to update on a few things though. I've really taken a shine to Soldier Front and Drift City over at ijji.com I've got the same handle over there as here.

I learned how to drive a stick-shift. I killed the thing 3 times before I could get it into first lol. Under 3 months till I get a permit (yay!).

I don't like Gamespot Wide. It makes my computer run slow, and it just looks cluttered.

Things look good about me getting a new job. Finally, I could get some cash in my pocket for once :D

My parents are divorcing. OH Noessssss!

I've taken a real shine to golf. I can hit 115 yards with my 4 iron, which.... Actually isn't all that good XD

And...Uhhhhhhh..........Mother 3! Tons o fun. Deep story, and great music. Check it out at starman.net

That's it I guess. Gettin close to my first year anniversary here at gamespot.

Cheers!

smrpg!!!

SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!SMRPG!!!!

In other news. I just got Mario Super Sluggers. The Motion controls need a bit of polishing, and the game REALLY needed some sort of online, but It's still good fun nontheless. Luigi Nights FTW!!

The bitter sweet life of an older child

I just don't know what to say... My life's just seemed to take a downward spiral this month...

My mom broke up with my dad, then went out with another boyfriend who dumped her, and now she drowns her sorrows with alcohol. So I'm stuck babysitting my hyper emotional ADHD 11 year old brother, my 4 year old who NEEDS his mom to do EVERYTHING, and will throw a major temper tantrum if he doesn't get his way, for 6+ hours a day.

So my mom's comes home, and just starts puking. So I'm left with my 11 year old who is p'd off about his bedtime, and the 4 year old who is kicking the wall and screaming his lungs off cuz I won't let him into mom's room.

Also. My mom's let me back on the computer, but while I was banned from it, the computer's been left in a state of total disrepair. So I've done everything to this 4 year old, 500 dollar Compaq Presario. I've virus scanned it, spyware scanned it, defragged it, scan disked it, registry cleaned it, deleted unused programs and files, and set CPU properties to high performance. Yet it still runs like crap. So I've backed everything important and will reformat tommorow.

In the mean time. I've found drift city, but do to my terrible computer, it runs like diarrhea dog sh**. If you, for some reason, would like to see me online in drift city. I'm always hangin around the driver's dome under the handle "Nobarai". Real original huh?

My family also didn't have enough money to get me to California, so my trip's postponed till next year. Which is a plus.

But, since I quit my paper route because I thought I was leaving, I don't have any money, at all.

I feel like breaking down in tears right now. So I won't post anyomre about my life right now.

This has got to be the worst week for me in a while.

Welll.... Where to start. GAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!! First of all, Nintendo E3 sucked. Period. I won't delve anymore, but if it's my first time paying attention to E3, they could've announced an F-Zero or something. Next, is my mom. She still won't get over the small virus I accidentally put on her computer ( I use FireFox for Christ's sake, and SHE THINKS THAT FIREFOX IS A VIRUS TOO!!! GOD DAMMIT!!!) So here I am, surfing on my Wii's browser for two months straight and there's still no sign of her letting me on (seriously, even if I had a Windows 98 I be tottaly content). So no shiny new Nintendo E308 badge for me. Last and worst: I HAVE THE FRIGGIN FLU!!! I've been doing nothing, feeling like a dammed zombie for the last 3 days now. I....Hate....The Flu. There. go feel happy for your own damned lives now. If you need me, I'll be taking a nightly dose of that gawd awful generic Nyquil. Nobarai EDIT: I've also sent a "Wii Don't want, Wii do want" message to Nintendo. It covers F-Zero, StarFox, WaveRace, the Poor relases on the VC and WiiWare, The crappy Wii Casual Games, and a few others. Let's hope Nintendo listens.

Allright! Who wants to play?

My Wii is back! I'll take on any online challenges, be it Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, Dr. Mario Online RX or Mario Strikers Charged. My Wii Number is clearly posted And my Mario Kart Wii # is 2535 4015 5800 Send me a message (on Gamespot) If you register me so I can register you. See ya!

PS2 is a Back-up Friend

My Wii is officialy in the hands of Nintendo atm, so I've traded in Batallion Wars 2, and Luigi's Mansion to get another copy of Gran Turismo 4 (my 4 year old brother nuked my previous copy), R-Type Final (Contrary to my older blogs, I guess I like shooters now) and Ridge Racer V.

When my Wii gets back, I needs somebody to play me online on Brawl and MKW. It's an online withdrawal emergency!

P.S. I also saw Get Smart on Sunday. It's really funny, and worth the time. You must sees it!

Gone to Seattle

I'll be in Seattle for the next three days as a part of my school's way of saying "thank you for finishing 8th grade!". I don't have a laptop, so I'll be gone from Gamespot for the next couple of days.

I'll post up some pictures later, and a full re-cap of what went down.

EDIT: Got home, but I've been a bit tired (Translation: LAZY) to post up sum pictures. Tommorow will be the day.

Night guys!

Allright, this has gone far enough!!

STOP SENDING ME UNION INVITES!!!!!

I'm not good in union, and I'm tired of the 6 invites everyday! And to the one person who keeps sending me invites to every single union he's/she's in! It's friggin annoying!

STOP!

Things bought this month:

SimCity (SNES)

Kirby's Adventure (NES)

Super Mario World (SNES)

The Legend of Zelda (NES)

Soldier Blade (TG-16)

Defend Your Castle (WiiWare)

ANNOUNCEMENT

EDIT 6/02, To NirdBerd: I won't be losing my old Wii. It's just that my mom doesn't want to buy a new Wii for me to take when I guy to live with my dad, and my dad doesn't want to buy a new one either. What I'm doing, since I have crucial, unmoveable SSBB and Mario Kart Wii data on it, I'll be keeping the oldWii, while my mom gets the new one. I hope this eliminates any confusion.

Speed Racer, WiiWare, SEGA, Blast Works and the one month blog!

Dang, it seems like I only put up a blog post every month. Well, this one's gonna be contenet packed so you better grab a soda.

I just saw the Speed Racer movie, and I actually liked it. Sure the stiory needed a bit of work, and the villians are kinda cheesey, but the racing scenes and crashes were absolutly spectacular. What many of you don't know is that I'm a Speed Racer fan. I've watched it since I was two, hell, I watched so much back then that my parents could sing the theme song on command. Fanatics aside, the Speed Racer movie wasn't too much liked, critics panned it for some odd reasons and others. BUT there was a game released for it, and critics gave it an overall of a 7-10! Since when have games been based off movies been good? Since Sidhe, the puzzle racing god, developed the game. So I've come to this theory: Good movie = Bad game, Bad move = Good Game, Bad movie = Bad movie still = Bad game if someone crappy is working on the game.

Speaking of above, has anyone noticed that SEGA games are REALLY crappy these days. I would proceed with cautions when buying or renting anything SEGA related, especially the Ironman and soon-to-be-released Hulk game.

Blast works. I've never been good at shooters, never lasted more than 5 minutes in any of the R-Type games, and the thought of playing the new Bangai-O game scares me. But I'll probably get the new Blast Works game becuase of it's sheer customisability and online download page.

WiiWare. Is anyone looking forward to this? I can only pick two games out of the whole list that I really like; Dr.Mario, SPOGS Racing and Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People which I'm mildly interested in. The rest is utter garbage. Looks like WiiWare will be off to a slow start. I'll post up a new blog tommorow once I'm done play testing the games.

Please comment and thanks for reading! :)
