well i think gears 1 to gears 2 is gonna be something like rockband 1 to rockband 2.
few improvemnts, few tweaks here and there, new story HOWEVER STILL A SOLID GAME AND PPL ARE STILL GONNA BUY/LOVE IT. (i.e halo 3)
The concepted is horrroiriable and it will bee a horriabiable games.flacracker173
wow seriously you are HORRIBLE
and resistance is 1 game how can it be gameS. and what in the world is concepted.
i think you need to go back to sch instead of playing games all day.
on topic though, yea nathan hale doesn't have the *cool protagonist* x factor
hmmm quick reply doesn't work.
anyways to ans your question
because Sackboy is epic and cute!!
also, the potential is huge in terms of gameplay since there is practically endless possibilities of what you can do.
no your not the only one. :)
i'm quite looking forward to this 1.. hope it turns out well because the lack of good rpg ( or any rpg actually ) on ps3 is rather unbearable
I'm getting FIFA this year. Looks great and plays great!
I think Konami have rested on there reputation to much these past few years. PES2008 was terrible and it doesn't sound like there really looking to advance it a great this year. FIFA have sucked in the past few years 2001-2007 but 08 was great.
Also, maybe its just me but I think PES gameplay is looking weird and stiff now!
Satanmar
yeah thats exactly what i thought too.
i feel that the pes/WE series has always been better during the ps2 era..
however, ever since the leap to next-gen (ps3,360) , the fifa series has been gaining ground on the football market and surpassed the PES/WE series in many ways. Fifa now not only has much much more official licence but the gameplay is VERY VERY solid now as well.
also, i agree with one of the person up there that the pes gameplay look rather stiff/weird to me.
hopefully konami will buck up and put up a good fight so that we soccer fans can benefit the most
=D
[QUOTE="NinjaMunkey01"][QUOTE="ReverseCycology"]Yeah, I don't really like how after you sign onto your username, you have to scroll all the way to the right to sign onto PSN and look at your friends list. XMB is ok enough but I feel like they just have to rearrange it better. Keep all that System, Media, etc. stuff towards the right and make signing on PSN and your friends to the left. XBL is just more organized.

My ps3 auto signs in and instantly goes to the game bit. You can make it auto sign in.
Mines auto signed too but you still gotta go all the way to the right to view friends and check out the store. Its just a very minor issue that would be nice if it had an arrangement change, but I'm not holding my breath.
edit: also with XBL when you sign on, you're right there you can right away view Friends and view Messages. and speaking about Messages, the Messaging inbox or lack of is a mess with the XMB. Why can't they have one inbox filled with messages instead of going through your friends list and seeing a number on the side of your friends PSN ID. sometimes you don't even notice that someone left you a message and deleting these messages are a hassle compared to XBL.
erm... do you really hav a ps3 because THERE IS a message inbox if you dunno
killzone 2 comes to mind first.
i dunno why they are bashing a game that look rather promising but yea... it sures get bashed every now and then prior to release.
*OMG LOOK AT THE GREYZONE!!!111one! *
*LOLLL AT TEH TEXTURES!!!!!!11 THEY ARE USING MOTION BLUR TO COVER UP MEDIOCRE GRAPHICS!!!!11*
are the 2 things u are gonna see the most around here priror to its release
It has never been the complete experience. You always needed a secondary console to compliment it. The PS1 had almost no shooters, while the N64 had Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. It didn't have a lot of multiplayer games, thus you needed an N64.
The PS2 only had TWO controller ports (WTH?), no hard drive, no ethernet, no first person shooters, no WRPGs... you needed an Xbox if you wanted the full gaming experience.
Sony tried to rectify the problem with the PS3 by making it a shooter console, but it fails on so many fronts. The Xbox 360 is the complete experience - every genre is represented with many standout titles. Even genres that were laughed at on consoles previously have found a home on the 360 (strategy games the most prominent example).
The Xbox 360 has t he chance to become the greatest console ever.
AHUGECAT
ahhh.. i have to disagree with you on almost all fronts.. especially with the ps2 part.
its has the multi tap {multi-tap for party FTW!!} and the slim ver has built in ethernet... sure it doesn't have much FPS but it has 1 shooter that defined PS2 online gaming [perhaps made sony realise the potential of the online market] and that game is socom
its even funny u brought up the ORIGINAL xbox and say that the ps2 needs it for the complete experience... the xbox had hdd and pretty graphics but too bad m$ DID not support it as much as the 360
