GoW, Halo 3, Bioshock, and CoD4 are all awesome games. Their story, gameplay, and graphics were great. But CoD4 was a little to short. Assassin's Creed was a great game too, but I will admit it is slightly overrated. The only setback is the terribly monotonous gameplay.

The Xbox 360 launched late 2005. It'll have the typical FIVE year lifespan, and maybe even six. Sony may be able to keep the PS3 around for ten years, but the games won't be able to compete with newer technology. In five extra years computer programming and hardware design can make major strives that will leave the PS3 in the dust.
Also, PC gaming isn't a "rough life". I PC game now more than I do console and I can more then afford to buy a new GPU when they release. Right now I have a Radeon HD 3870 X2, but I'm going to buy ATI's new high-end GPU when it releases. Games look and perform quite a bit better on PC. The online gameing is better and you can do much more with a games.
You're wanting to keep in touch with your friends and Xbox Live is obviously your best bet. More games for your friends and yourself to choose from and it's easier to get everything set up. If you go and play online with your friends on PSN, you'll have to quit your game to talk to them, and there is no multitasking, and they'll get bored of the run-around. You can do anything and everything at the same time on the Xbox 360 without closing anything.
The 360 has the majority and it's convenient.
The M16 is better for long and average range because it keeps it's power. The AK47 is better for close/average.
Oh, and that isn't an M16A1, it's an M16A4. The A1 models were introduced during Vietnam and have single shot or fully auto. The A2 model introduced the three round burst, but has since been replaced by the M16A4. The A3 was more or less an A2 with an A1 fire control group.
I prefer the M16A4.
