"While the aiming takes awhile to get used to, once you find your desired level of sensitivity, you'll find that it almost matches the buttery-smooth movement of the GameCube games. Note that I said almost, as it doesn't quite live up to the past installments' standard; still, it's a vast improvement over past Wii FPS games that have vastly underperformed." - GamePro Review

Prime 1/2... Butter-smooth movements and controls? Better than Prime 3's system?

Does that sound even remotely sane?

why would i waste my time playing outdated games? btw GS' opinion >>>> your opinion.

Pdiddy105

Obviously GS's opinion doesn't mean nearly as much today as it did a year or so ago after noticing that GS is becoming more like the laughing stock of the internet gaming community rather than a place that would, at the end of the day, deliever a spot on review.

[QUOTE="evilbarbarian"]Maybe GS is biased after all.. I can't see how X360 games, such as PDZ, Gears of War and Forza II all score better then MP3 and Zelda.. It just doesn't make sense.
Pdiddy105

MP3 and Zelda TP deserved the scores they got. Unlike every other site, GS doesnt just tack on a 9.5 or 10 because of the hype, they actually compare the games with their previous counterparts and try to note the differences. MP3's gameplay was starting to become stale just like how Zelda TP's outdated graphics and fetch quests caused the game to flop.

Which is why they commended MP3 for being a Great Sequel in the sense that it delivers an experience that is a massive improvement over the prior games and then simutanously docks it for being more of the same? Or maybe that's the reason why they praised the controls but then said that the controls were so streamlined that it made the game easy and damaged the Metroid gameplay feel of exploration, despite how at one point in the review, its stated that Prime 3 has exploration parts in the same vein and number as the other Prime games with its own twist to it?

The score should be secondary to the review content, not the other way around. If the content can't back up the score (Which any cow, lemming, or whatever can see, and some have admitted to), then we have a pretty big problem here.

EDIT: I mean, just as a non MP3 related example, look at Super Metroid. Is there any concrete reason to why a con like "First port in 13 years" should automatically bump the game out of AAA status, when in the review itself, they have barely any complaints?

It's funny how NeoGaf users are making fun of Sony when PSP and PS2/softwares are doing really well.XenogearsMaster

Correction: PSP hardware is doing decently. PSP software has been quite abysmal for the past year, as practically no game outside of the Monster Hunter series entered the Top 30 sales, and even those games tend to disappear after a little over two weeks of decent sales.

[QUOTE="IXftw"]They said nothing about continuing production, they only said they had ample supplies.Armored_cell

Actually, Kaz Hirai confirmed in the video that they have stopped production of the 60 GB SKU.

*same as before*

It doesn't matter how many times you keep repeating that, it won't become more true.

Face the facts he presented you and stop denial

Have you even watched the video?:lol: Cows are so cute.

Eww don't call me cute that makes me unconfortable.

I'm a dude :|

Have you seen the link where Sony debunks it?

First off, it's rather suspect to say that a SCEA PR can debunk two Sony Presidents that easily.

Second off, I don't know if you're affiliation with Sony is causing a bias or just causing tunnel vision in terms of another possibility, but neither article debunks any 60 GB Discontinuation, but they do reaffirm that there are enough 60 GB models out there.

He keeps reposting those same two articles despite the fact that neither of them completely debunk the 60 GB SKU discontinuation, but both keep reaffirming that Sony has enough left that there's no danger of the 60 GB SKU magically disappearing without a trace. If Kaz Hirai wasn't correct in some form, the SCEA PR would have said "The 60 GB isn't being discontinued" and would have left it at that. But instead, he only points out the line of the SCEE President of the 60 GB disappearing after July/August isn't true.

One quick thing before I head to the show for the last day. I just wanted to clarify something. I've seen a lot of posts this morning related to the 60GB SKU and the comments by SCEE President David Reeves. As we announced this week, SCEA's product offering in North America consists of a 80GB PS3 available in August and a 60GB PS3 available now for $499. We will have ample supplies of both models to meet the needs of consumers for the foreseeable future.

flashattackfina

That only confirms something that we already knew: That the 60 GB isn't going to magically disappear from the traces of store shelves, as production halts are just that, and they can't really eradicate what was already on the shelves (without a recall at that). However, both of these articles don't deny that the 60 GB model is being discontinued in the slightest, but both articles are assuring that there will be 60 GB SKUs on the shelves for a little while.

That, and unless this is miscommunication of epic proportions, two Sony presidents mentioned the discontinuation, and they both probably released the information earlier than expected.

Wow. The Mods closed the other topic too early...

It turns out that the 60 Gig discontinuation might be actually true, because Kaz Hirai himself stated that the 60 GB model's production has already ceased.

Pay attention to what Hirai says at 1:50.
