The Project Reality Mod for BF2 makes the game almost like ArmA. You HAVE to squad up, and everyone is mature and uses the mics. The game can be seriously intense, and other time, it will bore you but it's great fun overall.
The Halo 3 beta doesn't need a code. In every copy of Crackdown (even just the disc itself) can access the main menu of the game and download it from the downloads section. So yes, you can rent Crackdown to play the Halo 3 beta.
