meh, if it weren't throttled by the average gfx card, that is.

First let me say I own a 360 and pay for live, but I started thinking, PC, Nintendo and Sony all offer online for free, and when I compared the online experience to XBL heres what I came up with

XBL, is pretty, nice looking set up..... thats about it though, everything else is capable of on any other platform for online.

Downloads, demos, updates, msgs, voice chat, wall papers and themes....most of which are free btw

PC and Sony can do mods, they have supported servers and have a lot less lag, there's almost no periods where online is down, definitely no where near as frequent as XBL.

They go down about 4-5 times a year for updates and then we had the holidays fiasco where people who finally get the time to play videogames couldn't appreaciate XBL.

I do like the arcade games they have to offer and I'm looking forward to Golden Eye and Banjo but who's to say the other platforms won't do something like this?

I don't know, 50 bucks a year isn't too much but when I see fanboys going on about how superior XBL is than regular online I get annoyed, I kind of spite my 360 because of the lemmings on these forums

Absolutely. Not on very high settings, but on medium for sure and possibly high (I've only played it on Medium myself). Far Cry 2 is coming to the 360 and PS3 and it seems like it will have much steeper system requirements, so there is no doubt in my mind that Crysis could be ported to consoles.PBSnipes

on low on dx9, it runs playably on hardware of the equivelant level of ps3/360. High dx10? no way!

Who honestly can say SS is a better game than the MGS? yes, some prefer the realism of it..but story, character, gameplay-wise....MGS games own it.

Theres No real replay value in splinter cell games, besides multiplayer...i had the chance to play SCDA and that had to be the most horrible stealth game i've played, mainly due to the stupid idea of having to be a double agent and working for the bad guys (worst part)

I don't think ubislow care anymore, but instead to make a quick buck..with there trashy ports.
