I do rate Talib Kweli and "Eardrum" was a solid album. However, although he is a lyrical mc, I feel the fact that, at times, his flow is so horrible he finds it hard to get his point across. This in some ways dumbs down his message because, when he's rhyming, it sounds so forced. He does have moments where your left with the :o expression, especially on tracks such as "Respiration" which he destroyed! Thinks back to how he drops in "Breathin in deep city breaths, sitting on sh1tty steps".

However, when I compare him with, for instance, Mos Def or Common, he isn't on the level that they are on. Lyrically he is but Mos Def and Common are two effortless MC's who simply grace the mic whereas Talib at times seems to struggle his way through a track.

As summed up by Jay-Z himself "If skills sold, truth be told, lyrically, I'd probably be, Talib Kweli" with regards to the lyrical side of things but he does go on to state "Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense" which pays homage to Common's effortless flow.

LEts say I am not interested in the story. Something as shallow as Gears would be all I would remain interested in. I dont think I will be playing online because of lag. So which single player is best?greengloop

Halo 3 doesn't really have lag issues. But, if your concerned, I would say for story, if you want 'fun', I would still say Halo 3.

If you want 'fun' so to speak then I would personally recommend Halo 3.It all depends on wether you have Xbox Live and if you do, how many of your friends have Halo 3? Halo 3, due to its matchmaking system, is probably the best game to have if you want to play with a big group of friends. Online is fun and with features such as forge and theatre, you can enjoy countless numbers of hours just messing about if thats what you intend on doing?

Bioshock on the other hand is more of a serious game that has a deep story. The game mechanics are very good and some aspects of the game can be fun (plasmids). However, on the whole, the game is more of a serious game that sticks closely to its story so in terms of fun, I would go for Halo 3. If your interested in a compelling story, however, then I would recommend Bioshock.

I predict it will get somewhere within the 8 region, probably the lower half. I reckon it will be a decent game (graphics and gameplay), although I do believe it will probably become repetitive and will have limited lasting appeal.

Strange that is, when all exits are final, point blank range that is

Pharoahe Monch is definately one of the best doing it when he feels like doing it. If he put out more work he would be a more respected artist. It's a shame he is slept on. All of his work is quality material regardless. He is creative, lyrical and not afraid to speak his mind.

Just thought I'd drop this for those who haven't heard of Joell Ortiz or for those who simply like Joell but don't have this mixtape which includes past and present material.

http://2dopeboyz.com/2008/06/12/dj-nice-legend-joell-ortiz-brooklyn-bomber-sampler/

I'm new to this so if links/mixtapes/albums aren't allowed to be dropped please inform and I will remove accordingly, or simply place this in a relavent topic/section.

Thanks
