Still Alive Video

Anyone else think the ending song in portal is a memorable one? I certainly do. I thought it was great. And pretty original, I loved it

P.S. Put it in System Wars to get the oppinion from all who on the game(cross-platform)

 greatest RPG of all time 10/10

It was still an amazing game IMHO. Not even close to the greatest, but one of the best(if not the best) game I've played this year. Should've deserved at the very least a 9.0

[QUOTE="CaseyWegner"]finished it tonight. it's the best game i've played in years. i didn't notice any framerate problems...just the texture popping during cutscenes and that was only a minor distraction.mazdero

I agree with Casey on this one. I don't understand why they complained so much about the framerates. Never during my two times through the game have I found that the frames drop to a point that I become frustrated with the game. I thought it ran fairly smoothly when you put in the scope of this game.

The game was simply amazing. I don't know why some people didn't like the combat, I thought it was a nice new take on TPS. The dialogue and interactions between characters was also great. It felt like it was a movie, jsut that I was in control with that movie.

You guys must not have played the same mass effect I did. The frame rates are pretty bad. It looked like the characters were skipping around the screen at times. Also, the game froze on me three times and I had to turn the 360 off and on again to continue. The texture pop in was not only during cut scenes, it was during game play as well. It was kind of irritating, but the story was so good, you could forgive it. I just wish the main story was longer than it was.

I never stuck to just the main story, I always kind of wandered off. But I have not encountered the players skipping around the frames were so bad. They've been pretty good with me, and I've never had a freezing issue thus far. I play the game in a couple hr intervals at a time though, maybe that has something to do with it. I think the time where I get the biggest frames drops are in bigger battles, but even then it's not too bad, and I don't hardly notice it.

I am aware some quotes are misused, but this one is especially bad.

http://www.gamebump.com/go/official_kane_and_lynch_website_lies_about_its_scores

Just looking at the pics you can tell Eidos was trying to make it look like those were reviews.

Roger Ebert, the movie critic, got ticked off when he saw a few of his quotes misused. Studios made it sound like he was praising a movie he outright hated, but they honed in on the one positive line. It doesn't happen anymore because he put a stop to that. And so, while this stuff happens, it's not right, and I bet if Gamespy really cared enough they could make Eidos take off the quote or at least attach the proper source and review score.

And about the Big Rigs example you gave. I dont think any DVD box or video game poster or site has ever made up a score like that. They can take words but they can't make up numbers or final scores. I've never seen that before and if you have real examples of that I'd like to see it. (and that's why we're kind of attacking Eidos because it really looks like they are trying to position Kane & lynch as 5-star games)

What he was basically saying in his example is that Eidos never says the company/site gives the game that score, they just have the stars there. They are heavily, very very heavily misleading someone to think that's what the reviewers gave the game that score.

I don't think it looks amazing, I think there's still a lot of work to be done on it. I love the amount of things going on in the background, that's pretty cool, but those are probably all scripted in the game, causing less problems for developers to put in all those bullets and explosions in the distance. The lighting is great though, no it's phenominal. That's what really stands out to me in this game. Hope to see some more screenshots soon.

Yeah, I've been in a real mood for it since I've seen the movie.Blue-Sky

Movie was complete garbage. I'm a fan of the series to. I felt the movie did no justice to this great series. I expect the next game to be great though

Wow, that sucks, I've never had/heard an issue like that. I've always found their customer service to be quite helpful.
