Will these games require us to purchase/upgrade new systems or will they run relatively well on todays top end systems?

All kidding aside, lets be realistic here.

SRTtoZ

they both ran at e3 fine on one high end production nvidia card. I know for a fact ill be just fine.

ive never had a single problem with GFWL, i love the dirt series and I love the achievements it comes with. I have dirt 2, dirt 3, f1 2010, f1 2011, batman AA, batman AC, shadowrun, and the dawn of war II franchice and they all work great through steam.

[QUOTE="James161324"]

Is there any reason to do this, instead of just overclocking to those settings.

Blicen

I think boost clocking is really the big added bonus.

I dont really get the attraction as its such a small change, I already push up to 1125/1575 whenever I game and down to 300/150 when im just browsing.

Framerate is all over the place, it doesn't actually look like it's running in 1080p, and I couldn't even get one multiplayer game going. Got my connection dropped a number of times. I figured the game was going to be a little buggy but not this bad =\

I can just imagine the excuses rolling out later.. PC version only sold a few tens of thousands of copies, no point in making a port, piracy is ridiculous, blah blah blah.

The biggest problem I have is I think this game had the potential to be great. The controls and cover system are all extremely fluid and the weapon mechanics feel fantastic. I wish this game had been properly optimized and with dedicated server support.

Just a word of warning to anyone eyeing the game.

MyopicCanadian

runs flawlessly on AMD for me. Nvidia seems to only run well enough with vsync off.

depends as they are very different. number one thing is if you are looking for more time go with skyrim, i can spend 200 hrs without breaking a sweat in skyrim where i got about 50 hours from the witcher2. aside from that I would say if you are looking for a more player driven game to explore around a giant sandbox then skyrim. the witcher 2 is a more crafted driven mature story.

[QUOTE="Obiwan_1O"]

their writers came up with it...

where do you think quotes come from in movies, books, poems, and the like, someone writes it...

pl4yer_f0und

Just wondering, I had subtitles on, and the phrase was in quotes, so I was guessing they got it from somewhere and it served as an allusion.

interesting that it was in quotes, i never play with subtitles so i didnt know. I still think they made it up tho its prb just the companion motto or something.

ok cool

was thinking about buying a 3570k or should i wait for Haswell thats why i so confused

fred1266

if you can still run everything your doing now fine then just wait for haswell, that will be much more future proofed for new games that arent avaliable yet.
