@derangel: Yep I remember my father dashing out to beat the rush on getting Super Mario Bros 2 way back in December 1988 (he succeeded which was pretty cool). There used to be a YouTube of a news story at the time were a reporter was waiting in line while reporting on the shortage, but I can't seem to find it.
So yeah, typical Nintendo underproducing just as they have for the last 30 years.
@xOmniCloudx: Yeah, pity Olenna didn't get much screen time after season 4. Her dialogs were always a treat whenever she had a chance to mess with someone's head.
@juninhotorres: I'm not too worried about floaty jumping, its actually quite common in Iga's Metroidvania style games. Alucard's jumps were very floaty in SOTN.
@PrpleTrtleBuBum: "Shat on by a gold bikini". I think most people would disagree with you there. Even Fisher herself had some love (as well as hate) for that iconic little outfit...
It think he's being naive when he says the practice of CGI face replacement won't become commonplace. For now, yeah sure, the remaining uncanny valley issues and costs will keep its usage to a minimum. But costs will come down and the uncanny valley gap will continue to close. 10 to 20 years from now.... well I have a feeling Rogue One already has caused various celebrities to update their wills to cover their feeling on their likenesses being recreated the way Cushing's was in films after their deaths...
@zerohournow: True, but she was the lead character of that film, her part was well written, it was molded as a female character from the beginning, and it challenged "gender roles"* in a natural, organic manner (*portraying a female character as completely overpowering and genuinely terrifying at every turn).
You know, there's a reason why films like Kill Bill, Aliens, Misery, and even every slasher flick where the female lead came out ahead will always be better remembered against the test of time compared to phoned in, agenda pushing, progressive brownie point farming nonsense like this....
Heh, you can tell which commenters either weren't alive back then or simply have no clue how PC gaming was back then. Or are of the totally logical mindset that ID should have gone through all the hassle of fully fleshing out and polishing the game BEFORE they got Nintendo's approval to go through with it.
