people may think europe got the shaft with the late launch, but at least they will have a fairly good launch lineup...
everyone has got to admit, that the PS3's NA/Japan launch was horrible when it boiled down to games. the only thing PS3 owners got going for them is resistance, a few downloadable demos/cheap games, and bluray movies. straight. up. horrible. it's really not a great feeling when you feel like your $600 wasn't well spent.
that's not to say that PS3 is a horrible machine though... because technically, IT IS the most the most superior console out this gen.
it's pretty amazing, that the PS3 can actually have 1 million users at this point when there are virtually no games to play with. the europeans will have resistance, motorstorm, lair, virtua fighter 5, and heavenly sword to play with at launch... and assuming that all those games are above average, that would be a pretty awesome launch for them. i'm sure the european launch will be successful... because if the PS3 can sell 1mil+ systems with their current crappy A S S launch, then imagine how it would do when there are actually good games available for it.
not to mention sales in the US should kick up a lot once those games roll in as well. Japan, i'm not so sure of yet... since none of those games really cater to their audiences.
the DS had a really crappy launch too, and everyone predicted it's demise when the PSP was looking hot. what happened then? the games rolled in for the DS and now its unstoppable. not saying that will happen for PS3, but it is possible considering the success of the PS2.

Yep Europe just got shaftted harder this morning when the new European price was set at 630 euro thirty euro more than expected .This will probably be £450 GBP roughly $900 US.What a bunch of A**h**es Sony are.
