Every generation thinks the kids of the day are undisciplined (remember when rock music was corrupting the youth?). Kids today are no different then they ever were. Besides, discipline doesn't need to come from physical violence, it can be taught far better through other means.

alot of kids wont shutup/stop whining until spanked. you could yell at them and they would keep going. sometimes kids do need to be hit

Once again, that's just lazy parenting. A parent can't be bothered to gain a report with their child and to actually teach them that what their doing is wrong, so they yell at and hit the kid.

I doubt youve ever had to raise a kid. What do you want the parent to do? Politely ask the kid to stop? that doesnt work. your living in a fantasy world where all kids obey parents all the time

You shouldn't be doing bicep curls anyway.

Choga

Why not?

Well I guess if you're only goal is to "get big" then doing them is ok. But if you want well-rounded, functional strenght then isolation exercises like curls are utterly useless. What you should be doing are compound motions that call upon your central nervous system.

not really. doing things like curls, tricep extensions etc. will add strength to those areas and thus help your compounds

"You WILL burn protein and muscle if you stay on a cardio machine too long" I have yet to see my muscles get smaller by running as long as i want. Dante2710
stop doing cardio for a month and see how much weight you gain. its a fact that cardio will only deter you from gaining weight/adding muscle

I was spanked when i did something i wasnt supposed to do.. And I turned out alright. Kids these days need to be spanked more.. They have no discipline.

[QUOTE="Optical_Order"]

Going to say by experience that you're wrong there. I was the same way as TC. It's not all about caloric intake if your metabolism is super high. Your body just goes through it like it's nothing. It's your type of diet that matters. So in cases like TC working out is the best option so long as he keeps at it.

I'm sure his calories were through the roof when he was eating fast food every single day yet he only gained 3-4 pounds. If his metabolism wasn't so high I'd agree with you.

Optical_Order

so eating an excess of calories doesn't make you gain weight. got it. and weight training along with eating more won't gain muscle. okie dokie.

go tell that someone who's actually an expert and see how hard they laugh at you.

eat 5k calories and do squats for a month and see if you don't gain weight.

What? All of a sudden you're talking about weight training now. You were talking about just eating more calories.

Listen, pal, what I'm saying is that just eating more isn't enough if you have a high metabolism. More calories doesn't necessariily = more weight. Diet is so crucial. Yes, you DO have to have a high caloric intake to gain weight, but all this needs to go hand in hand. I'm sure this kid could eat a couple big macs a day and not gain any more than a couple pounds.

That's why you have to eat healthy and convert all those calories into muscle which will stay.

If you dont lift weights along with eating more food than usual, its going to take a long time to gain weight

GOMAD diet plan + Stronglifts 5*5

come back in 2 months and tell me you didn't gain weight.

Phaze-Two
ya this is good. The GOMAD diet is simply to drink a gallon of milk each day. It may seem like alot, but if you just drink cups of milk throughout the day, its easily managable.
