I don't get this, Carolyn. Since Gamespot is starting to deduct points for games being almost identical from the last game's installment, are you guys going to start deducting points for Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed, etc.?
I just keep seeing these really nit-picky reviews from Gamespot (GTA getting a point deducted for being misogynistic even though the game is one big satire, Last of Us getting an 8, etc.). I played this game all last night and couldn't put it down. Sure, there isn't any really big changes, but the story is fantastic. As for the multiplayer, it feels clunky in places but still feels really aspiring for straying from traditional multiplayer. Everyone I played it with was having a blast and it felt really intense.
For anyone reading this who hasn't got a chance to play it; ignore this review. It's very good and is definitely a worthy addition to the Arkham series.
@Queuingreturns The people who have early copies or who have torrented it are saying it's the best one Rockstar ever made. I read someone said that it felt like "the proper sequel to GTA San Andreas". After seeing a few leaked gameplay videos, It looks pretty damn fun.
As for the RE6 comment, some part of us knew that Capcom would mess it up. They messed up that series with RE5, which was a downgrade from RE4. RE6 was just an even bigger downgrade.
Rockstar will rarely mess up a game, if ever, and I doubt they would want to ruin their most prestigious series. I highly doubt we'll be seeing a low score on any other site besides Gamespot. Recently, Gamespot has been the hipster of gaming sites and giving acclaimed games average scores.
@VenkmanPHD @charlesdao What are you talking about? RDR had great multiplayer. The open west with friends riding horseback in a gang? It's a great time.
