Hero: Chapter 8

Wassup, my Home Skillets! :D

I got chapter 8 completed yesterday. 8)

For some reason, I think I started getting sloppy near the end, but...I might just be paranoid. :(

Well, here you all go. :)

--------------------------------------------

The 3 silhouette covered enemies landed with a loud "thud" sound, and continued to raise their heads to the 6 young Heroes, allowing them to see their faces in the dim sunlight.

The person in the middle had tanned skin, with a small amount of fuzz on his face, and a lit cigarette in his mouth. He wore a red-colored duster, and a matching cowboy hat, which covered most of his hair.

The person on the left of him had very dark tanned, almost wrinkly skin, with long, clean, black hair running down his back to the base of his spine, and was parted out of his eyes thanks to his hat, which was black in color to match the dirty looking duster jacket he wore.

The person on the right was a young woman with long, blonde hair, big-blue eyes, and her most noticeable and unusual aspect: strange black scales, covering her body, instead of skin. No tail, no claws, everything about her looked average and human besides that one particular feature. She wore a hat and duster, black in color, almost exactly like the attire of the man on the left.

"What's yer' names?", the man in the middle asked the Heroes.

"Why the hell should we tell you!?", Victor yelled back.

"I want something to call you by before I kill you."

"…"

"My name is Nixon. The man with the long hair goes by Rin, and the lizard-looking woman likes to be called Silva."

"…Alright," Victor continued, "I'm Victor. The pissed-looking girl with the ponytail is Axis, the red-haired girl is Kate, the tan guy is Roberto, the tall guy in the tan shirt is Darkman, and the boy with the glasses is Aaron."

"It's a pleasure, I'm sure," Nixon followed up.

"…Yeah."

"Well, les' start then."

Nixon, Rin, and Salva all got their weapons out, ready to fight. Nixon got out a simple-looking Revolver, with a long barrel and a bizarre insignia barely seeable at the end of the barrel. Rin's weapon of choice was a simple shotgun, and it too had a strange insignia on the barrel of the weapon, barely seeable at the time. Salva's weapon was a repeater rifle, black as night, with the same strange insignia on it as the other 2. However, hers was on the handle instead of the barrel, so it could be seen more easily, though it still looked like a confusing jumble of circles, squares, and other geometric shapes.

"What is that insignia supposed to symbolize?", Darkman curiously asked the 3 foes.

"It's our symbol," Silva answered, "the symbol of The Outlaws of the End."

"The Outlaws of the End? That's what the 3 of you go by?"

"Yes," Rin answered the second question, quickly and shortly.

"Enough a' this chit-chat. Ukas!"

Nixon rose his revolver, pointing it directly at Kate, and shot, a loud bang signaling a bullet, which passed through her hair, causing a loud scream to shriek from her mouth, and leaving a line of faint red light wear the bullet had passed through the air.

"What the hell just happened!?", Roberto yelled.

"Ukas…that's the same thing that the snake creatures yelled as they attacked us in the last room," Darkman answered.

"Oh, so I'm guessing that they have some kind of special power too, right?"

"Of course. They'd be too easy to beat if they didn't."

"Good point. Saku!"

Roberto shouted to summon his power, raising his weapon to fire on Rin, who was nearest to him. Rin quickly answered with a shout of Ukas, which shot a green-streaked pile of buckshot at the beams of energy, colliding to dissolve both attacks into thin air. Roberto quickly followed up with a charge at him, slashing and stabbing his spike bayonet at Rin, who was quickly and easily dodging each and every attack swung and lunged towards him by the Hero. Rin, after shifting to the side to dodge a stab from Roberto, followed up by unleashing a right hook into his face, nearly shoving him off the train onto the fast-moving ground below. However, Roberto was quickly able to push himself back into the middle of the cart, making some distance between him and Rin in the process.

Meanwhile, Kate and Axis were dealing with Nixon, slashing and stabbing their weapons, but being unable to make the attacks connect. For every stab that Kate made at him with her spear, he dodged and punched or pistol-whipped her away. For every throw of the chakrams Axis made at him, he would use Ukas to shoot the chakram out of the air, and deflect them back into her hands.

While Victor was trying his best to fight Silva, but to the same success as Kate, Axis, and Roberto were having in their battles, Darkman noticed that the train was increasing more and more in speed. Why, he didn't know. But what he did know was that it couldn't be helpful for them.

"…"

Victor, after barely being able to move out of the way of an Ukas shot at him from Silva, which left a yellow-colored streak in the air, slashed his sword at her head, but collided with her repeater, and struggled to keep the end of the barrel pointed away from himself. With both warriors' faces, that were both showing sheer anger and frustration, barely 5-inches apart, Victor shouted:

"What's up with the scales!?"

"I wish I could tell you, hun!"

"What!? You mean you don't know!?"

"No! I just woke up one day, not being able to remember a thing about anything that happened before then, lying in the middle of a field, with a bullet hole in my leg, and this repeater in my hand. I lifted myself up, looked in a puddle that was near me, and noticed that I looked like this!"

"So, what? You just, forgot? Forgot everything that happened!?"

"That's why I fight: To remember! Nixon and Rin found me about an hour later, nearly dead, and they nursed me back to health! They, like me, said that they just woke up one day, nearly dead, and couldn't remember a thing about their past! So we decided to become The Outlaws of the End! To fight for our memories!"

"And why do you fight us!?"

"We were told to! We woke up here, on this train, and were told that we could find out about our pasts by killing a couple of youngsters that would be on the train with us soon! We were stranded, and confused. But, knowing that we may never have a chance like this again, we decided to accept his job!"

"Who asked you to kill us!?"

"Enough of this! You die now! Ukas!"

She shouted at the top of her lungs, forcing Victor's sword down, and pointing the barrel straight into his face. He somehow managed to push the barrel away from his face once again, just milliseconds before the bullet shot out, and fired into the distance. However, the exceedingly high speed of the train was causing more and more wind resistance, and he fell off the cart, barely managing to hang onto the edge above the hard ground below him.

"Well," Silva started, "I guess this is it for you. It's nothing personal, hun, but I need my memories back. I need to be able to remember."

"Damnit."

Aaron was standing behind Darkman, defenseless without a weapon, watching everyone fight their hearts out, but miss every single attack. He quickly noticed Silva pointing the barrel of her weapon straight onto the top of the hanging Victor's head, and knew that if he hesitated any longer, Victor was going to lose his life, and Aaron didn't want to let that happen.

"I need a Hero, to save me now!"

Everyone, Heroes and Outlaws alike, stared at Aaron, who now had a strange beam of light shooting from his head. From this light, a tall figure appeared.

"I am Ptahhotep, the Hero of Space and Time," a bold, broad, and deep voice spoke, "I have come to save a life from the brinks of death."

Ptahhotep was tall, lean, handsome, and intimidating. He wore a long, hooded robe, which looked like something an ancient Egyptian emperor would wear. He had a very dark, brown colored skin tone, golden necklaces, rings, and other sorts of jewelry on, decorated with priceless looking jewels, and a dark black beard, which stuck down below his chin to the length of about the base of his neck. He wore his hood on his head, which covered most of it, but you could still tell that his head was shiny and bald, without a trace of hair to be found. He had deepset eyes with black pupils, and a perfectly formed nose and mouth. He looked as if to be the perfect king for some ancient kingdom.

"I grant the newer Hero, Aaron, the ability to use the Saku of Space and Time, and the sword I fought with in the Great War long ago, Infinity."

Infinity was a beautiful and priceless looking sword, which looked as if it would only suit a king. It was thin and long, meant to be held in 2 hands, and seemed to be made from pure gold. The blade did, at least. The handle was like that of a Japanese Katana, with cotton and comfort put into making it easier to fight with. The cotton on the handle had designs on it, similar to stars in the night sky, and the metal ring that separated the handle and blade itself had designs engraved into it that looked similar to clocks. It was beautiful and intimidating.

"You have the power to overcome any battle if you try hard enough. Never give up hope, and never accept death without a proper fight," the Hero said, as he slowly dissolved into the strange light erupting from Aaron's skull, and disappeared into nothingness. Everyone continued to stare at Aaron.

"Victor! Hold on!"

Silva quickly remembered what it was she was doing, and quickly re-aimed her gun at Victor, but by the time she had gotten her finger on the trigger, Aaron quickly raised his two-handed Katana above his head, and slammed it towards her arm. She was able to quickly get out of the way, but as a result, Aaron was able to help Victor back up onto the cart, ruining the chance she had to kill him.

"Damnit. He wasn't kidding when he said ya'll were tougher than you look."

"No kidding," Aaron and Victor both simultaneously responded.

"…"

Roberto was still holding his own with Jin and his shotgun, managing to dodge each attack, Ukas or not, with no room to spare. Roberto knew that shotguns were powerful and had one deadly spread effect, and that, if he made one incorrect move, it would be an unwanted end to his life. His attacks were still not connecting. It was as if Jin could tell where the attacks would be. Nothing seemed to work: Saku blasts, stabs, slashes, nothing. He quickly looked around and noticed how Axis, Kate, Victor, and Aaron were all having the same difficulty as him getting his attacks to hit, and knew that what they were trying wasn't working.

Darkman wasn't directly battling the Outlaws like the rest of the Heroes. Darkman's Saku, Life, was more of a healing agent than a lethal attack, and his sword's length, which was quite short, would likely be a hindrance on a windy, fast-moving train cart like the one they were on. So he watched, giving out advice, and noticing the speed of the train was reaching an unnaturally fast speed. The wind force being generated was furious, and the train was becoming more and more dangerous, and more and more unstable with each passing second. He noticed how each of his friends were attacking with all their might, but missing again and again. He had to shout to his friends:

"This isn't working! We need a new tactic! Jump to the second cart, and head inside! We can fight better in there!"

Everyone quickly glanced at Darkman, shook their heads at each other, and ran towards the end of the cart, towards the next one, which was a similar looking passenger cart. Unfortunately, the Outlaws also heard Darkman.

"No! Stop them!", Jin yelled to his friends.

Darkman quickly sent a couple of beams of Saku into the metal where the 3 enemies were standing, causing a shock to them all, and clouding the area they were in in a thick, green fog, which was quickly blown away by the massive wind force now being generated. However, Darkman still managed to make enough time to catch up to his friends.

Axis had stood at the end of the cart for a couple of seconds to help her friends jump on to the second cart, which was more difficult thanks to the high wind speed, which seemed to increase even more while they were running. First she helped Aaron, then Victor, then Kate, then Roberto, then Darkman all jump onto the next cart, which they all managed to do with her help. Most of the Heroes quickly started to run for the passage into the cart, which was a trap door with a ladder at the end of the second cart. But Victor stayed at the front of the second cart, with his hand out, to help Axis make her jump.

However, Nixon, Jin, and Silva had all managed to catch up with Axis and Victor at the end of the first cart. As Axis jumped for Victor and the second cart, Silva yelled "Ukas", and shot a repeater bullet straight into Axis's back. She screamed in pain, and barely managed to capture Victor's hand as she fell and hung above the fast-moving ground under the cart.

"Axis! Damnit, are you okay!?"

There was no answer.

The rest of the group, who had made it about half way down the cart towards the trap door, turned around at the sound of the gunshot, and started rushing back towards Axis and Victor after hearing Axis's scream.

"Please…Don't…Don't kill her!", Victor pleaded with Nixon, who was aiming his revolver straight at Axis for a fatal shot.

"Sorry, kid, but you already know what we're fighting for. Yer' not the only ones with something at stake here."

"…No…"

Victor's grip was slipping. He tried as hard as he could to lift her up, but his strength was giving out. Nixon started to pull the trigger of his gun on the-now unconscious-Axis.

She seemed to start fading away into death.

"No. No, no, no, no, no," Victor started to think to himself. He didn't want to see his friend die, helpless, and hurt. He didn't want to see her die period.

"I need a Hero, to save me now!"

"What!? What was that!?!", Silva screamed in anger and surprise.

The outlaws, Victor, and the other Heroes looked down at the end of the second train cart, where the scream had come from. From the trap door into the cart, they saw a head poke up, and a person stepped out onto the top of the train. They had a light, shining from their head.

CLIFFHANGER! :o

Yeah...who is this new Hero, you all may be asking? Well, you'll just have to find out in the next chapter. :P

Which I may not be writing until December. :|

You see, I decided to take part in the NaNoWriMo competition (click the link to see what it is *EDIT*: The site isn't working right now, so neither is the link), and to finish my novel in time, I may not have the time to work on Hero. :(

Of course, I'm still not sure. I don't really want to leave you all a giant cliffhanger, and make you wait forever to get the conclusion to the battle. :(

Oh, and the novel I'm writing is entitled "Outnumbered". It's actually coming along quite well. ;) I might post it here on Gamespot sometime. :D

Hero: Chapter 7

Wus' Up, My Home Skillets! :D

I decided to take a break from writing the introductions for a while, and decided to write Chapter 7 instead. ;)

I'm still going to write an introduction of Kate, Roberto, and...our new character, so don't worry about that, but...yeah.

Something about this chapter just doesn't seem...as epic as the others. :( But I still worked hard on it, and I hope you all enjoy it. :)

-----------------------------------------------------

Victor, Axis, Darkman, Kate, and Roberto all stood in the hallway, pondering on the things they were told in the previous battle, wondering what the snake creature meant when he said that they weren't Heroes: Just fools trying to ruin their own world.

"…"

There was an eerie silence. They weren't in the mood to talk.

Victor looked down the hallway. It stretched so far that the end couldn't be seen. Just white tiles and black doors, as far as the eye could see, disappearing into darkness. He wondered if they would have to go through each individual door to defeat the, at the moment nameless, villain that wanted to destroy everything they knew and loved, along with the many things they hated. The sound of a door opening broke the silence, as the 5 Heroes looked at the location the sound was coming from. The door was about 4 doors down from the one they had just exited, and was on the same wall.

"Aight, les' rock," Axis said, with as much charisma and confidence as she could muster from the situation.

Everyone stared at each other, before entering the opened door, with it closing and disappearing behind them after they were all through.

They were, once again, in a fog-covered area, so they could not at the moment tell what the details of their current venue were. However, they could easily tell that, wherever they were, they were moving. There were soft stubs coming out of the ground, smooth and curved, that could not be seen clearly due to the thick fog. They were wide enough to seat about 2 people per stub, but no one knew what they were. Not really wanting to question it at the moment, they all sat down and talked, waiting for the fog to clear. Axis, sitting next to Victor, tapped him on the shoulder, wanting to ask him something.

"Hey," Axis asked.

"Yes?" Victor answered back.

"So, what do you think of Darkman, Roberto, and Kate?"

"Huh?"

"You know, what have you picked up on them?"

"Oh, like a description?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, ummm…."

"Darkman, first of all, seems to be very mellow and calm. And VERY smart. He can keep cool and observant, even when we're about to get killed, and as a result, picks up on things more quickly than the rest of us. He also looks a bit older, like he's in his early 20's."

"Second is Kate. She's…after seeing her roast that snake thing, she…I'll admit, Axis, she scares the hell out of me."

"Oh, like me!" Axis interrupted, a cocky smirk on her face.

"Erm…yeah," Victor continued, "but when she's not frickin' psycho, she is very kind and distant, and seems to be willing to do anything she can to help."

"And what do you think of Roberto?" Axis asked.

"He's pretty cool, just like Kate and Darkman. He's a bit brash, excitable, and acts without thinking, but he's also brave and smart, and has pretty good reflexes, considering how you and him managed to distract those things for so long."

"Yeah," Axis started, "I picked up on the same things about them. I wonder who we'll end up meeting next."

"Or what enemies we'll nearly get killed by next," Victor stated back.

Axis let out a slight chuckle. "Same thing, right?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

Darkman, sitting on a stub with Kate directly behind Victor and Axis, and Roberto sitting by himself on a stub to the right of them, tapped on Victor's shoulder, getting the attention of both him and Axis.

"Hey," he asked, "About how long did it take for the fog to clear in the last room when you were waiting for us?"

"Huh? Oh, I'm not entirely sure. Why?"

"Oh, I was just wondering how long we would have to-"

"How hard can it be to remember!?!", Kate interrupted, yelling at Victor.

"…the Hell? Why are you pissed!?!"

"I heard you call me psycho. Trying whispering more softly, you douche muffin!"

"Well, you are, Kate!"

"Shut up before I roast you!"

"…you…this isn't going to be a good relationship."

"Indeed it won't."

Roberto curiously tapped on Axis's shoulder.

"What the hell just happened to make them start screaming at each other?"

"…I wish I knew," Axis answered his question, laughing from the sudden argument.

Suddenly, a scream broke the silence.

"Answer me! Please!"

Victor, Axis, Darkman, Roberto, and the still-angry Kate all stared at the area where the voice had come from, which was apparently above them, as the fog that blanketed the area started to clear.

The stumps they were sitting on were simple, wooden benches, fastened to the ground with steel studs, and with metal poles rising up from each of them. Each bench had a viewing window next to them, which revealed a long, vast, desert like area, with a cloud of white steam rising into the sky. The constant whistles and bells, the racketing and pounding they were hearing below them, they all knew for a fact that the moving thing they were on was a steam train.

Down the hallway, at the end of the seating cart, was a ladder that led up to the top of the cart. This was definitely where the scream had come from, and so the 5 young Heroes each climbed up the ladder, reaching the top to be hit with a strong force of wind, which made their hair flutter, and threatened to blow them off the train onto the hard, fast moving ground below them if they were to miscalculate a single step.

They all looked toward the end of the cart, and saw a single person, who then turned around to face them.

"Who are you all?", he asked.

"We're Heroes. Like you," Victor answered back.

"Oh…I was told that someone like you would come and find me at some point. I wasn't expecting this soon, though."

"What was it your inner Hero told you, exactly?" Kate asked him.

"Well…"

The boy told them everything that his inner Hero had told him, and it was pretty much the same thing that they had all been told my their inner Heroes as well. They knew that the briefings each Hero got by their inner Heroes probably didn't tell much at that point, but it was still worth asking.

"Oh, how rude of us," Darkman started after the boy was done explaining everything he knew, "we forgot to introduce ourselves. I'm Darkman, the boy with the tan skin is Roberto, the girl with the ponytail is Axis, the girl with the short, red hair is Kate, and the boy with the long, brown emo hair is Victor."

"Thanks," he answered, "I'm Aaron."

"Well, Aaron," Roberto started, "It's great to meet you!"

"Thanks," Aaron said, with a nice smile on his face.

Aaron appeared to be around the same age as Kate, Axis, Roberto, and Victor, with a short, skinny stature, and smooth, pale skin. He had light brown, shoulder length hair, put up in a ponytail, and a pair of small, simple glasses on his eyes. He was wearing a simple, orange T-Shirt, skinny dark blue jeans, and well fitting, black shoes, with laces neatly tied and stuffed into the inside of the shoe.

"Hey," Darkman started to ask everyone, "does this train seem to be getting faster?"

"What!?!"

Though they had barely noticed, the train was definitely getting faster, and no one knew what this meant. Was there a conductor? An end to the tracks? All they knew was that they were going to get attacked by someone-or something-very soon, and wasted no time in explaining everything that had happened to them so far to Aaron.

"Man, you guys have been through a lot," Aaron stated, surprised at how they were still alive.

"So…," he continued, "I'm going to have to fight something here as well, right?"

"Definitely," Victor answered back.

"Okay, so when do I yell the Hero plea?"

"Trust us all, you'll know."

Aaron was still obviously very nervous, and had no idea what to do, but was glad that, whatever he was about to fight, he wouldn't have to face it alone, but with the aid of his experienced new friends.

"Okay, I hope it happens soon."

As soon as Aaron said that, a loud "bang" sound was heard, and a bullet barely managed to skim Aaron's shoulder, as he, along with the rest of the Heroes, turned to see 3 shadowy figures, in cowboy attire, standing in front of them, on the second cart next to theirs.

"…I guess that's our next fight," Roberto said to everyone else.

"I guess yer' the so-called Heroes we've been told to kill," the middle figure, who's face was still hidden in shadow by the silhouette cast on him by the sun, asked them with a thick western accent.

"…Yeah, we are. It's too bad that you won't be able to do what you've been told to do though," Victor yelled, with a cocky smile on his face, and Powerhouse drawn and ready to be used.

"Les' get this over with," the figure said, as he and his 2 companions, who were also hidden by silhouette from the sun, jumped high into the air, not affected by the speed of the train, and onto the same cart with the, now 6, young Heroes.

--------------------------------------------------

Yes, sirra, Aaron is now in. I hope I got his description down well. ;)

So......that is the newest chapter. :D

Tell me what you all think. ;)

Ahhhh....LOLcats are great for the soul.

And *THAT*, my delicious friends, is a fact you can all take to heart, and make your lives more happy with. ;)

....

Laterz, Home Skillets! :D

-Out-Of-Ammo, the person that wonders if anyone ever notices that he writes stuff next to his name.

Oh pitiful shadow, lost in the darkness...

Wut Up, My Home Skillets! :D

No, the blog title means nothing. :| I'm just good at thinking of epic blog titles. 8) And the quote is from Hell Girl, just so you know. ;)

I'm doing another meaningless blog, which I haven't done in a while. :D I've been posting these intros and chapters, and...I want to take a break from them for a couple of days. :| I'll finish berto's and sirra's at some point. ;)

I just looked at my last blog...did I really post Darkman's introduction YESTERDAY? :? It feels like it was 2 days ago. :( Meh, who cares? :D

As always, I'm coming up with this as I go! :D So...whoot. :D

Gaming Updates:

I'm still playing through Aqua's story in Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. I haven't beaten her's yet because I haven't played my PSP in the last couple of days. But it's going well. :)

I finally turned on my PS2 and played Grandia some more today. :) I managed to remember the story, so it didn't hurt me that much. 8) I got to Lelai...Lelie...WTF ever that town that Milda is from, and then my game froze. So, after cursing for about 5 minutes (I get angry *way* to easily. It isn't fun. :(), I turned it off and haven't played it again since.

I've played a bit of Assassin's Creed as well. :) While at first I thought the game sucked, once I got used to climbing around (Altair isn't as strong and nimble as Cole from inFamous, and I will have to deal with that) and fighting (counter *EVERYTHING*), it became very good. Altair is also an awesome character. :)

General:

I've had to ship my Sega Saturn off. Again. AGAIN! :x This is the third ******* time in a row! :x Apparently, during shipping, the system got bumped a little to hard, and a wire came off of it's socket. :( Thankfully, OSG is willing to repair (for the 3rd goddamn time in a row) the system for free, and they are going to specially protect it so that the bastard shipping people don't screw it up again...which means that they're probably going to send it in a tank.

Speaking of the Saturn, I lost that bidding I said i was bidding on last blog. :( I wasn't really expecting to win, as I have really bad luck, but I got outbid at the *very* last second, and I couldn't bid back because I was asleep. :( Seriously, what BASTARD makes an auction end at 1 AM!?! :x:cry:

I recently found a really good, yet broken PC in my house. So, I brought it to my Computer Systems Tech **** and I was able to repair it with ease (I also got a 100 test grade, which is a double win 8)), so I now own a PC! :D And I'm going to be able to do and download all of the stuff that PC owners always get to do and download! :D:D:D

The first thing I'm going to do is get MSN. So, if you have MSN, let me know, and I will add you. :)

...That *is* what people on MSN say, right? :|

I've been studying to take my permit test. Again. :( I've failed...twice. But I won't give up, simply because:

1: To get things, you have to have money.

2: To have money, you have to get a job.

3: Where I live, to get a job, you have to be able to drive.

4: And I. Want. Stuff.

So...yeah. :D Hopefully I don't fail it badly this time.

My best friend in real life, Hunter, keeps telling me to mention him in my blogs.

HUNTER! HERE IS YOUR MENTION! ARE YOU FRICKIN' HAPPY NOW!?! :x:P

...Alright, that happened.

I'm out of Dr. Pepper.

My nails are really long right now, because I actually LOST my fingernail clippers! :x I'll find them before I sleep tonight, I swear to you that! :D

I am thinking of dyeing my hair blonde. Or black. :| I'm not sure. :D

It's LOLcat-tastic! (:D)

Lolcat is in...something.

Toad LOLcat is a bastard. :x:lol:

And....that is the end of this pointless, yet somehow fun, blog. :D

Laterz, Home Skillets! :D

Introduction of a Hero: Darkman

Wassup, Home Skillets! :D

I have completed Darkman's (Darkman2007) introduction. :)

It's...way short. :? These introductions aren't meant to be very long, though, so I'm sure you can all deal. :P

Also, just so you all know, the **** things are "cIass" or ". I'm too lazy to edit them.

------------------------------------------

Darkman sat at a desk, with uneasy eyes, and a stack of books on the desk, one being opened in front of him. A desk lamp is lit and pointed toward the book, allowing him to read the contents.

"Mmmm…what time is it?"

Darkman pulls out an expensive looking watch and looks at it, holding it under the lamp's light to better see it.

"5 AM…I've stayed up all night studying for this exam…I wish I had slept some. It's too late now though, the exam starts in an hour. Why does it have to be so early?"

The 21-year-old stood up and walked outside of his University dorm room to get some fresh air after studying intently for hours. He looks around at the dark clouds and dim street lights, the streets and sidewalks still and quiet from sleep in the early morning.

"It's kind of nice out right now. Quiet, cool, peaceful…almost makes me forget that I haven't slept in 2 days. Almost."

Darkman walked back to his room to get ready for the day, as the street lights were turned off, and the sky started to be restored to it's grayish-blue color. He was extremely tired, which he knew without a doubt was from not sleeping the entire night, and that he was starting to regret more and more. He was thinking that coffee could get him awake enough though. After getting comfortably dressed, he pulled his watch out once again to check the time.

"Crap, I've got 10 minutes! I don't even have the time to shave!*

He tossed on a jacket and walked out of the dorm once again to travel to his ****for the major exam. He started down the sidewalk, which still had very little people on it, and came to the university building about 5 minutes later.

"Alright, let's put the hours spent studying to good use," he thought to himself, as he pushed open the doors to the main building, and walked into the lobby.

Since there were still 5 minutes before the exam started, Darkman bought an energy drink from a vending machine to aid his earlier coffee in waking him up enough for the exam, and sat down at a table next to the machines to drink it while reading a book he had brought with him. He noticed most of his ****ates coming in after him, with faces covered in a mixture of nervousness and excitement from the exam they were about to take.

After quickly finishing his drink, he closed his book and looked at his watch once again, only to discover that barely two minutes had passed since he had arrived and bought the drink, meaning that he had around 3 minutes. He couldn't head to the ****early because the professor for the ****always locked the door when he left, and hadn't himself arrived yet. So, Darkman opened his book once again to pass the remaining minutes, but noticed that his sleepiness hadn't been cured-or even helped-by the coffee and energy drink that he had drunk earlier.

"Why…why am I this tired? I can barely keep my eyes open," he wondered in his head.

He noticed his teacher then come in through the double doors, and walk by him, into the main office of the building, probably to sort something out before the exam started. Darkman checked his watch again, and noticed that there was only about a minute left.

"I can't take my exam like this. I won't fall asleep, just close my eyes for a second…"

Darkman lay his head down on the table, surrounding his head with his arms and quickly-and unwantingly-fell into a deep sleep. He quickly opened his eyes to notice that he was standing amongst a thick fog, and that a red-haired girl and a tan-skinned boy around 14 were standing next to him, the same look of confusion on their faces that he knew was on his.

"Who are you two? And where are we?"

"We don't know," both strangers answered.

"Welcome to Granaci, Darkman," a bubbly and positive voice spoke to him, with no apparent body accompying it.

"…Granaci?"

"Mm-Hm!"

"…what is Granaci, exactly?"

"The paradise awarded to us Heroes as an…award, I guess you could say."

"…"

Darkman remained silent for a moment.

I...am not as proud of this one as Axis's. :( i think I did okay though. :) What do you all think? :D

I also promise you all that my next blog will be a normal one, instead of another introduction. :) I want to make Roberto and Kate's introductions...better. ;)

I'm bidding on a cheap lot of about...27 Saturn games on eBay. Wish me luck. ;)

Thanks for reading this. :)

Later, Home Skillets! :D

Introduction of a Hero: Axis

Hello, my delicious Home Skillets. :D

I've decided to write the introduction chapters, and as you can probably tell by the title, this is Axis's. :D

And just so you know, this is going to be pretty short, since there isn't much time to cover in the introductions. :?

The main purpose of these chapters aren't to add to the main story, but to reveal a bit of backstory of each individual character, and show some misc. information about them. :)

Enjoy. :D

-----------------------------------------

Axis was lying, far off into a deep, pleasant slumber, in her comfortable bed. It was an early Monday morning, one that Axis especially didn't want to go through. The end of a fun weekend spent with friends and video games, and the start of a long, boring school week. One of many in her 10th grade of school. A digital alarm clock, sitting on a nightstand next to her bed, suddenly went off, alarming her to wake up.

"…Gah, why? Why do weekends have to end!?!," she thought to herself, as she flipped the blanket she was under onto the ground, and stood up to look out her window.

"…"

"I want more sleep."

The view out her window was of your average suburban neighborhood, one of many in Philadelphia. She watched cars go by, people walk down the sidewalk, birds flying in the sky, and wondered:

"I wonder if they're all dreading this morning as badly as I am?"

She eventually got showered, dressed, and ready to start the day, still wanting nothing more than to sleep. She was sleepier than usual, but didn't think much of it, as she walked down the stairs, and into the kitchen, meeting her parents and little brother all at the table.

"Wow, Axis, you look terrible!," her little brother yelled as soon as she sat down at the table, with bags under her eyes.

"Shaddup."

Her brother was eating a bowl of cereal, while her dad sat next to him, reading a newspaper. Her mother wasn't doing anything, though Axis knew that her mother was talking to her little brother before she had come down from her room.

"Wow, honey, you do look tired. Were you up late last night?" her mother asked.

"Huh? Oh, no. I guess I'm just not enjoying getting up this early."

"That may be, but you know how important school is. Don't be falling asleep in ****"

"Yeah, mom, I know."

Axis's dad placed his newspaper down, looked at his watch, and opened his mouth to speak.

"Isn't it about time you were heading off to school?"

"Ummm…."

Axis pulled out her phone, and flipped it open to check the time. It was not long before her ****started.

"Oh Crap! Later!"

Axis grabbed her backpack, slung it over her right shoulder, and sped off toward school on her skateboard, not paying attention to a group of people she almost ran over when she left her house.

"Hurry, Hurry, Hurry!"

She barely made it to school on time, passing straight through the door to her cl@ss as the bell rang, and she let off a smile of relief, as she went to sit next to her friend on the far end of the cl@ssoom.

"Okay," the teacher started, "Now that the bell has rung, let us begin today's lesson."

Axis took her notebook and pencil out of her backpack to begin taking notes, but noticed that she was feeling unbelievably tired, even more so than she had earlier that morning.

"I…why am I so tired? I made sure to go to bed early last night JUST to avoid this!", Axis quietly (and angrily) though to herself, as her vision started to blur from the exhaustion.

She looked around the cl@ssroom. She was sitting in a corner well surrounded by other students doing their work, and Axis knew that she could most likely get away with falling asleep instead of taking notes.

"…Maybe I should catch up on some sleep. This cl@ss isn't important anyways."

So, she lied her head down onto her opened notebook, closed her eyes, and quickly fell asleep without anyone noticing.

Her eyes suddenly opened, and she was standing alone, in a foggy, large area.

"W-Where the hell…?"

Suddenly, a body-less voice rang into her ears.

"Welcome, Axis, to Granaci," the voice stated.

"…Damn."

Short, right?

Well, I didn't spend very much time on it, but still, I think it turned out okay. :)

Hero: Chapter 6 Part 2

Just incase you missed the first part, Here is a link.

:D

Whoot!

-------------------------------------

"I am Sirra Cannal, the Hero of Fire," the Hero stated in a deep, female voice, "I have come to save a life from the brinks of death."

Sirra Cannal was, like Hylomorph, a beautiful looking woman. She had blood-red, shoulder length hair, not unlike Kate's, but covered a section of her face, including her left eye. She wore nothing on her head, but on her body, she wore a set of spike-covered, leather armor, a mixture of red and orange in color. She wore a shining red jewel as a necklace, long, red, leather greaves on the lower half of her body, and red leather shoes with spikes anklets, to match the rest of her attire. Her eyes, like her hair, nails, and armor, were blood-red, and seemed as though they could peer straight through your skin and bone.

"I grant the newer Hero, Kate, the ability to use the Saku of Fire, and the spear I fought with in the war long ago, Passion."

Passion was a beautiful looking spear. It had a total of 6 spikes at the end of the shaft, that would curve inward about 3 inches down the tip, which seemed like it would be a useful detail when wanting to take the sword away from an enemy. It had a red gem, similar to the one on Sirra Cannal's necklace, in the center of the 6-pronged spear tip, which appeared to be there for appearance. Besides the red gem, the shaft, prongs, and tips of the spear were pitch black, and felt heavy and sturdy, like iron.

"Passion…sounds sexeh," Kate broke a smirk, which would have looked perfect with a pair of sunglasses, "I'll be sure to put it to good use."

"You have the power to overcome any battle if you try hard enough," the inner hero of Kate continued, "Never give up hope, and never accept death without a proper fight."

Sirra Cannal, with those words, disappeared into the light, as time seemed to resume after being paused for so long, and terror could be seen in the red-colored snake's eyes.

"Heh…heh….DIE!!!" Kate yelled, as she got a scary, psychotic look in her eyes, and ran up to the snake.

She yelled "Saku" as she pointed the spear's tip at the enemy, and a huge jet of fire shot from the tip like a flamethrower, which engulfed the enemy, reducing it to a pile of blue ash, leaving only one serpent warrior left.

"Jesus! Kate, are you…mental, or something!?!" Victor, slightly disturbed, yelled at Kate.

"Shaddup! Or your next!" Kate yelled back, giving him a slight scowl, combined with a glare.

"…"

"Wha-What!?!" the last creature started to speak, "How have you beaten all of my brothers!?!"

"Heh, easy," Victor started, as he slowly walked towards the last enemy, "We're a team. We're smart, we have power, and we are Heroes."

"You aren't powerful, you aren't smart, and you are sure as hell not Heroes!"

The last monster screamed "Ukas", rage filling it's voice and glowing a light blue color, as it rushed it's dagger at Victor, who easily moved out of the way, and spun to slam his back-handed sword into the monsters back.

"We can't let the world die without a good reason," Victor softly and emotionlessly spoke to the monster, who was now fidgeting and gasping from the pain.

"We…we have a reason. Your world it dying, and you don't even care. You say that we're killing the Earth? Well, you're not so different. The balance is disturbed. Mother Nature is being beaten to death by her unfaithful husband, humanity, and yet you continue to let her cry and bleed. War, greed, evil, it wipes the land as a terrible plague, brought upon by the wretched living, and we hear her, Earth's, cries, and wish to save her. Your not Heroes, your just stupid mortals, who think that they can make a difference."

"…Die…"

Victor softly spoke "Saku", causing electricity to pulse from Victor's arm into Powerhouse, and into the monster's body, killing it, and reducing it to ash.

"…"

"…"

"…"

Everyone was speechless. They didn't know what to say at the beast's final words. They didn't know how they felt. Suddenly, Thorstein, Hylomorph, and Sirra Cannal appeared before the Heroes.

"Congratulations," Hylomorph exclaimed, in a cute, bubbly voice, "you managed to win!"

"…Thanks," all of the Heroes simultaneously spoke back.

"Your minds must be clouded by the snake's last words," Thorstein started, "Do not think to hard. Their views are twisted and deranged by the Villian, and can't be believed."

"So they were lying?" Victor asked.

"Not exactly," Sirra Cannal answered, "They are just…misguided."

"I don't understand," Kate stated.

"Don't worry about it, cutie," Hylomorph started in her cheerful voice, "you'll learn what we mean soon enough!"

"….must you be so annoying?", Sirra Cannal angrily asked her former Hero friend.

"Ugh, get over it, Sirra! No need to be jealous because I'm cuter than you! I'm sure you'll find some adorable hunk to carry you off into the sunset someday. Well…no, I take that back…"

"Wh-WHAT!?! You stupid, light-headed, little slu-"

"Cease with this constant bickering!", Thorstein yelled in an angry, scary, gargled voice.

"…"

"…"

They both ceased.

"Well," Thorstein continued, "Now that that embarrassing incident is over with, you are to continue into the hallway of Granaci, and enter the newly opened door to encounter more allies, and your newest challenge."

"Got it," everyone answered back, still laughing from the incident.

The young Heroes, healed, rested, and ready for the next challenge, continued out the newly revealed door, and into the hallway.

------------------------------------------

So, there is part 2. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, as I put quite a bit of effort into it. ;)

I'm still not sure if I want to do the introduction chapters or not. I don't think they will affect the main storyline very much, but...I think it would be interesting to see a little backstory for the characters. :)

I'm also working on the first chapter of a second story that I want to start, which I plan to make last 6 chapters, called "Within Perethius". I'll talk about it when I get the first chapter done. :)

So...there you go. :D

Thanks for reading, Home Skillets! :D

Hero: Chapter 6 Pt. 1

Apparently, my blog is over the allowed amount of words, so I have to post this chapter in 2 parts.

Yes, I *finally* finished Chapter 6! :D Writer's block FTL! :x

This chapter took up just over 10 pages on MS Word, so...prepare to read a LOT of stuff. :D

---------------------

"Damnit, what can we do?" Victor thought to himself, "We can't beat them if we can't hit them!"

The snake-like enemies kept slithering around the 5 Heroes, preparing to strike them in the blink of an eye. Suddenly, one of the snake creatures started to glow with a strange orange light, and quickly yelled "Ukas" as he rose his dagger and plunged his body straight towards Roberto, who somehow managed to shift to the right just soon enough to get a small cut in his side, rather than the fatal strike the enemy had hoped for.

"The Hell was that!?!" Kate yelled, as she rushed to Roberto to see how serious the injury was.

"Gah, you little bastard," Roberto screamed, furious at the snake that cut clean through his rib cage, "I wish I had a gun to shoot you with!"

"….wait….maybe NOW it will work! I need a Hero, to save me now!"

Roberto yelled the plea, hoping to summon his inner Hero and fight with his new friends, but nothing happened. Upon further inspection, Kate found that Roberto was hurt pretty badly from the earlier attack, and, though it thankfully wasn't lethal, he was still losing blood at an unsettling rate. The other 4 reptilian warriors were still slithering around the 5 heroes, waiting for the perfect chance to get in a quick, lethal hit, as the 5th one, whom attacked Roberto not even a minute before, traveled back to his original position, joining it's allies in waiting to attack.

"Why is that thing still glowing orange?," Darkman asked, noticing that the creature that had attacked Roberto earlier was still giving off a faint orange light.

"I wish I could tell you," Victor answered back.

Before anything else could be uttered, a second monster started to raise it's dagger to attack Axis, taking the time to yell, like it's friend, "Ukas", before charging to slice clean through Axis's waist.

"Son of a-"

Axis didn't have the time to complete her sentence before she had to quickly rotate her entire body, missing the fatal strike of the dagger by centimeters. Immediately afterwards, she flailed her Chakram-holding arm at the passing by snake, yelling "Saku" as the Chakram nicked a small cut into the creature's neck. While it normally wouldn't have been fatal, the power of Axis's saku, Death, instantly killed the monster, turning it's body to neon-blue colored Ash, and dropping it's dagger into the ground.

"Hell Yeah! NO one can touch me!" Axis exclaimed in victory.

"Nice!," Darkman yelled to his friend.

The 5 creatures had been reduced to 4. Victor wondered how Axis was able to strike the monster that had previously been untouchable. Had he just not seen correctly earlier, when she had literally sliced the life out of a tree? Or was there some trick to what he just saw?

"Victor, pay attention!" Kate angrily yelled to him, as his deep thoughts quickly subsided, and he looked up to see a third snake preparing to attack him.

"Ukas!" The serpent yelled, as it grew a strange dark-blue color, and charged it's dagger straight at the emo-haired warrior's throat.

Victor, not being able to react in time, got stricken with the dagger. He held his throat, which was flooding blood onto the grass, and dropped onto the ground, nearly dead, and seemingly no way to be saved.

Roberto, still bleeding from his cut, and terrified at the pain and fear stricken into his friend, grew fury into his heart, and finally new….

"I need a Hero, to save me now!!!"

Unlike the previous attempts he had made, this time, it worked. A bright light shone up from Roberto's skull, like a spotlight at a movie premiere, and from it appeared a tall figure.

"I am Thorstein, the Hero of Technology," the gargled voice rang, "I have come to save a life from the brinks of death."

Thorstein had a strange, futuristic look to his armor. His face was covered in a sleek, shiny, white-colored mask, slightly covered with dents and dings on it. His eyes, which were hidden behind his helmet, appeared as glowing green dots, showing no emotion, and his nose and mouth were not visible, thanks to the mask. The mask was also probably the reason his voice was so gargled. He wore a suit of armor that appeared to be made from the same thing as the mask, since it was also sleek, shiny, white, and covered in dings and dents. He had very long, gray hair, which hung down to behind his knees, and apparently, an average figure, though you could not tell for sure, because of the fact that his body was covered in thick armor. A strange, glowing substance seemed to be visible in the few holes that were penetrated in the armor, though actual punctures in the armor were very hard to find. The most noticeable feature of the Hero was, set on his back, a pair of mechanical devices, resembling wings. The voice and appearance of the Hero made you think, "Robot". But not just that: He made you think of an anthropomorphic tank. A device, built for battle.

Of course, looks can be deceiving.

"I grant the newer Hero, Roberto, the ability to use the Saku of Technology, and the weapon I used in the great war long ago, Triptych."

"Triptych….I will put it to good use," Roberto thanked the Hero.

Triptych was a very odd looking weapon. If it could be compared to any well-known weapon, I would say it's like a machine gun. But there were many noticeable differences. It was shaped in an odd looking U-Shape, and had a dark blue/black color scheme on it. It jutted out on the sides, probably to support the user when hit with the weapon's throwback. It had a spike on the end, next to the barrel, probably used as a bayonet. You could also see a strange fluid flowing through it, similar to the fluid seen inside of Thorstein's armor.

"You have the power to overcome any battle if you try hard enough. Never give up hope, and never accept death without a proper fight," the Hero spoke to Roberto, as he disappeared into the strange light erupting from Roberto's head.

Roberto, still filled with extreme terror, anger, and hatred for the monster, quickly rose Triptych up in his arms, and yelled "Saku!", as a giant blast of the fluid in the weapon shot out from the barrel, and vaporized the snake, terror clearly in it's eyes, into blue ash.

"You don't stab my friends!", Roberto screamed, anger escalating his voice into a very loud volume.

2 piles of ash now covered the ground, as the original 5 snake-warriors had been reduced to 3, one of the remaining 3 still letting off an orange glow. Roberto, satisfied with his victory, shot his weapon at the remaining 3 snakes, this time a spread-effect of energy bullets wiping through the remaining enemies, clouding into a mass of dust. When the dust cleared, Roberto was astonished to see that the 3 remaining enemies were unscaved.

"What the hell!?," Roberto thought to himself, not able to figure out why he could hurt them like the last warrior.

"Kate," Axis yelled to the red-haired girl, "Me and Roberto can distract these things. You and Darkman go see if Victor is alright!"

"Okay," Kate yelled back.

Axis and Roberto, weapons in hand, charged at the remaining creatures. They jumped and dodged out of the way of every attack, their attempts at damaging the monsters failing as their weapons substantially passed through the enemies, as if they weren't even there. As they fought the monsters, Kate and Darkman rushed to Victor's body to check on him.

"Is he alive?", Darkman asked.

"I don't know yet," Kate replied.

Kate and Darkman sat down next to Victor, and Kate felt of his wrist, to check his pulse.

"….he's still alive," Kate told Darkman.

"I don't see how…"

Victor was in terrible shape. His eyes were wide open, staring at Kate and Darkman, and blood rushing from his throat, as he gasped for air, but received none. He obviously wanted to say something, whether it be last words, or a simple scream, but the deep puncture stopped him from uttering a sound.

"He's still alive, but…."

"What?", Darkman hurriedly asked.

"At the rate he's losing blood, and that he can't breathe….I doubt he can even last another minute."

"D-Damnit…"

Darkman couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with fear, sadness, and anger. Was a life, much younger than his own, about to dissipate right before him? He couldn't think of what he should do, but then he felt a shock of realization: Whether it helped or not, he knew what he needed to do now.

"I need a Hero, to save me now!"

As Darkman uttered these words, Victor was able to move a slight smirk, as everyone else stared at Darkman, and a light rose from the top of his head. A figure appeared.

"I am Hylomorph, the Hero of Life," the nimble looking Hero uttered, "I have come to save a life from the brinks of death."

Hylomorph was a beautiful looking female, with long, blonde hair, flowing down over her shoulders, and a green and white bandana tied onto her head. She had big, blue eyes, a mouth in the form of a smirk, and a light, gentle voice. The skin of her face was tanned, and she wore a long, hooded robe, with colors to match her bandana. She had a slightly skinny, fit figure: the kind most people dream of having.

"I grant the newer Hero, Darkman, the ability to use the Saku of Life, and the sword I fought with in the great war long ago, Steel Rose."

"Steel Rose? …sounds pretty awesome, if you ask me."

Steel Rose was a beautiful and elegant looking short sword, which Darkman held in his left hand. What it lacked in length, it obviously made up for in power, which Darkman could feel running through his hands as he raised it up in the air, letting the gleam of the sky shine on the blade. It had a greenish color to the blade, with a strange pattern on it, resembling some kind of journey, probably symbolizing life itself. It appeared 20 inches long, and was perfectly straight, with a point at the end: It looked extremely similar to a gladius.

"You have the power to overcome any battle if you try hard enough. Never give up hope, and never accept death without a proper fight," the Hero spoke to Darkman, as she disappeared into the beam erupting from Darkman's skull.

Darkman could feel the power of life slithering through his body. He quickly placed his hand on the would on Victor's throat, hoping that what he thought would happen would work. A shining green light shot from his fingers, and started to flow into the fatal wound, as the muscle and skin started to reconnect, latching around like it was being sewn together, and Victor suddenly shot up from the ground, gasping for air.

"Gah! What the….the hell just happened?" Victor asked, his eyes widened from the action that had just taken place.

"Apparently, Darkman's inner Hero has made him an expert healer!" Kate yelled, smiling at the look on Victor's face.

"Oh, please, don't thank me," Darkman said to Victor, expecting an answer.

"Thank You," Victor said to the expectant Darkman.

"Don't mention it."

While this was going on, Axis and Roberto were still battling the 3 remaining serpents to minimal success. One of them had eventually shouted "Ukas" and glowed a red color as it struck at Axis, who managed to dodge, and attempted (but failed) to damage it in the process. They were able to catch their breath after Darkman had summoned his inner Hero, but after she had disappeared, the battle resumed, yielding the same results as earlier.

"We are still going to get killed if we don't figure out how to hurt these things," Darkman stated to Kate and Victor who, in the excitement of Victor's healing, forgot all about the fight Axis and Roberto were in.

"But…I think I have an idea," Darkman continued, with a smirk on his face.

With Steel Rose in hand, Darkman charged at the enemies, or more specifically, the 2 out of the 3 that were glowing colors: One orange, one red. He yelled "Saku", as he swung his gladius at the tinted enemies, sending 2 balls of green energy flying at each of them.

The first ball of energy, aimed at the red colored enemy, simply went through its body, not affecting it at all. However, the second, aimed at the orange-tinted monster that had cut Roberto earlier, blasted the enemy, covering it in a mass of power, which dissolved only to reveal a pile of neon-blue ash, reducing the count of enemies to 2.

"Ah…I thought that would work," Darkman stated, satisfied with his victory.

"What do you mean?" Kate asked, still confused as to what he figured out.

"Well," Darkman started, "Have you noticed how, when these…things yell "Ukas" and attack, they start to glow a strange color?"

"Yes."

"Well, I think that these colors are each assigned to us. Each of us can only attack an enemy that glows a certain color: any other enemy won't be effected."

"So, you could only attack the one that glowed orange, Roberto could only attack the one that glowed dark blue, and Axis could only attack the one that glowed…what did that one glow?"

"It happened so fast and suddenly that it was hard to catch. It glowed Purple, Kate."

"Okay, so I can only attack one of these things, and so can Victor?"

"Yes."

"Well then, let me see which one is mine!" Victor, who was listening to Kate and Darkman's conversation behind them, shouted.

Victor, filled with energy after having his wound healed by Darkman, charged next to Axis and Roberto, and swung Powerhouse twice, once at each enemy, as he yelled "Saku" on both swings, sending streams of electricity flying at each of the snakes. Much to his misfortune, both attacks went through the enemies, neither being hurt at all.

"What the-? Why?" Victor wondered.

"I guess they have to reveal their colors before they can be hit," Darkman yelled to Victor.

"Oh! Frickin' Perfect!" Victor sarcastically screamed in anger.

"Ahhh! D-Damnit…" Roberto suddenly yelled, dropping onto his knees in pain.

"Roberto, hold on!" Darkman yelled, as he started to run towards Roberto.

Roberto finally started to feel the effect of the cut he had been hit with at the beginning of the battle. Since then, the amount of energy he had spent fighting with Axis was starting to wear him down, along with the amount of blood he had lost. Darkman rushed to his side, placing his blade on the ground as he put a hand on Roberto's shoulder.

"Don't worry, I'll have you healed and better than ever in a sec-"

But, before Darkman was able to finish his sentence, the red-colored creature screamed, and charged at Roberto and Darkman, seeing this as the perfect opportunity to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Darkman and Roberto both didn't see this coming, and were unable to move out of the way, as the blade came closer and closer to them.

"I need a Hero, to save me now!"

Everyone-Victor, Axis, Darkman, Roberto, and the 2 remaining reptilian warriors-all looked at the sound, noticing it was Kate who had summoned her inner Hero. A light spurted from her head, as a figure drew out from the light.

--------------------

So, what do you think? I put a lot of work into this one, so I hope you all liked it. :)

I'm now having trouble writing Chapter 7 though. :| I can't decide what to put in the next room, and who to put in the next room. :?

I'll come up with something. :D

Also, I was think of doing special Hero Chapters called ":insert name of Hero here: Beginning", which is an intro for each of the Heroes that I introduce in my story. :)

I you don't understand what I mean by that, it means: You know how in the first chapter, I had my character start out a normal day before ending up in Granacci? I wanted to show how all of the other characters ended up there as well. :)

So, should I?

Thanks for reading, Home Skillets! :D I'll have the second part up tomorrow! :)

-Out-Of-Ammo

Guess what I *just* figured out! :?

Wassup, My Home Skillets! :D

So....today is a very special day, and one that I forgot completely about until just last night, when I read Matastig's newest blog.

Look up at the "Member Since" stat underneath my avatar...yup, you guessed right, today is my 2-Year Gamespot anniversary! :D:D:D

First of all, I am making this up as I go. I WAS going to plan a huge thing for my anniversary, but...I forgot it was so soon. :?

-------------------------------------

So, October 1st, 2008. A young, 13 (at the time) year old boy named Victor decides to sign up on GS. In the past, he mainly used GS to get cheats for games, but noticed that you could make an account, and thought: "Why not?". :D

He signs up, not planning on using his profile very often, and posts a blog about god-knows what. He leaves, and becomes inactive for many months to come.

Around 3 or 4 months later, he comes back, curious to see if anything has happened, and: to his disappointment, nothing has. He (somehow) manages to make his first GS friend, AirGuitarist87, and, after getting a comment on one of his first blogs from said friend, becomes attached to GS for life. 8)

He manages to make many more friends, some good, some bad, and some just plain...well...yeah *cough*sirracannal*cough*.

-------------------------------------

Uh, yeah, I think i'll stop the introduction at this point: It just isn't going as well as he had hoped.

Since joining Gamespot, I have made a lot of great friends, which I never could have imagined I would do when I first joined. So, in no particular order, here are some of my best friends and/or favorite users on this site. :)

@Aidan129: An egotistical, photo-happy, apparently not skinny or muscular young dude. :| Yeah...that sounded weird. I'm tired, okay!?! :x And I'm *still* coming up with this as I go. Nevertheless, Aidan is awesome, and....yeah...not sure what else to put here.

@AirGuitarist87: My very first friend on GS. :) He isn't around much, but he still blogs from time to time, and right now, he's doing something in Japan. :) And I can't even remember what.

@artsterisyours: An energetic boy, barely old enough to have a GS account. His post count probably consists of about 80% one word or one emoticon posts, but he is still awesome, funny, and a great Home Skillet to be friends with. :)

@BattleSword1: The Dark Wolf, and the father of many Gamespot children, of which i am one. He is an expert sniper, has a cool demeanor, and....come on! He's a frickin' WOLF!

------------------------------------

I bought Bioshock and Assassin's Creed a couple of days ago, and they are both good. ;)

...

Yeah....I'm all out of energy. :| I promise that I'll have a better blog next time. ;)

No LOLcats this time, either. :(

Sorry.

Later, Home Skillets! :D

-Out-Of-Ammo

Initially, I could concur.

...

...

...

...I'm not good with blog titles, okay!?! Especially when they don't have much of a purpose!!! :x

I haven't blogged in a while, so I am making this up as I go. I don't have anything worth blogging about, anyway.

Wut Up, My Home Skillets! :D

Gaming Updates:

I have beaten Ventus's story in Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. :) I'm now working on Aqua's. :D Why not Terra's, you may be asking? Well...Aqua is...she's hot, alright? 8) She is awesome sauce as well. 8)8)

I got my Saturn back from Canada...again. :| It is now official: My gaming system has been on vacation more times this year than I have! :x The guy who fixed the switch protected it by taping a giant Listerine cap onto the switch to stop anything from hitting it. It was effective, though. :D My switch flips perfectly. Now I just need to blow some money on import games.

I started playing Persona 4...again. I love that game. I haven't replayed it near as many times as Persona 3 though. :D

I haven't touched Grandia or Valkyria Chronicles in a week. I'll get around to that eventually.

General:

I managed to make the highest F in my Algebra cl@ss :D Only 4 of the 26 people in there passed. I made a 60 while everybody else who failed made, like, a under 50.

...

Is it bad that I'm happy about coming closer to NOT failing than anyone else. :|

I'm making 100's in Biology II though. :D Of course....cheating plays a small role in that. :?

I'm a good person!!!

I uploaded a pic of myself to my images profile. I don't think it's up yet though. Go check my images. I'm not even sure if it uploaded. My pics usually don't. I'll guess we'll find out though. *shudder*

...Be nice, sirra. :x You too, cheesyjon. :x:x

*EDIT* I just checked, and it uploaded. :? It's in the pics (1) folder...or category...or whatever. :x

I haven't even started Chapter 6 of Hero yet. :| I'm still not sure how I want the battle to go. :? I WILL be delaying it for a day though. Why? Because sirra-canned ham made me. So, if you are mad or sad about the story being delayed for a day, go blame sirra. :P

Sorry, sirra! :D Your getting mentioned in this blog a LOT though.

....I need more to blog about. :|

LOLcats!!!

 I got the above pic from somewhere here on GS.

I wish.

Later, Home Skillets! :D

Hero: Chapter 5

I was really excited about doing the 5th chapter for some reason, so I spent about 3 hours working on it. Here it is. :)

---------------

Victor and Axis walked into the second door, not knowing what lay before them, and stopped at the sound of the door behind them closing. The room was filled with fog, like the room they had been in before, and as a result, they couldn't see much.

"Damnit, what's with the fog?" Victor wondered.

"Maybe the Hero in here isn't done with their lecture yet," Axis said back.

"I wonder if all the Heroes are in separate rooms," Victor wondered, "Because if they are, this is going to take forever."

Since the fog hadn't cleared yet, Axis and Victor, not having anything better to do, sat down on the ground and talked to pass the time. The ground wasn't tile like the hallway, nor the room they had fought in earlier, but was soft, itchy, and slightly wet: like grass. They wished they could see what exactly it was, but the fog made it too hard to make out.

"Why do you think those monsters turned to weird blue ash when we killed them?" Axis asked.

"Hmph, maybe that's just what happens to things that die here: They just turn to ash," Victor answered.

"So that means, if we die, then we'll probably turn to ash too."

"I guess."

"Hey, Axis?" Victor asked, "Did you notice that it was REALLY cheesy when you said I don't think they want to be friends earlier?"

"Bah, shaddup. I'm awesome enough to make it sound cool," Axis snapped back with a smirk.

"Yeah, but still…"

"Oh, and what do you think Saku is?" Axis suddenly asked.

"Huh?"

"When we summoned our Heroes, they said that we gained the ability to use the power of Saku. I was wondering what they meant."

"I'm not sure. We should yell it in battle, see what happens."

"What makes you think it would work like that?"

"It's just something that seems like it would be used in battle. Like in a video game."

"Speaking of which," Axis wondered, "I wonder if and when we'll fight again. I want to kick some ass with The Reapers."

"There is no doubt that we'll have to fight again," Victor replied, "I don't think that Villain wants us to stop his plans."

"We 15 warriors, fragments of Heroes, must stop a villain that wants to end all life on our planet….Don't you think we're taking this kind of well?" Axis asked.

"Well, I truthfully don't think it has fully hit me yet. While I am now sure this isn't a dream, we can't really do anything other than this. I'm risking my life to save people I don't like and don't give a damn about, and there isn't a thing I can do to stop it. I'm trapped in this so-called paradise, Granacci, and…I've just decided to accept it."

"Yeah, I can second that. I don't give a damn about most of the people I'm practically being forced to save, and I can't do anything other than accept it."

Axis and Victor, after finishing their conversation, sat for a little while longer in silence, waiting for the fog to clear, until they heard a voice yell.

"Why won't you answer me!?!", a voice yelled.

"We need answers!!!", a second voice could be heard.

"What can we do now," a third voice screamed.

After that, the fog cleared, revealing the 3 separate voices to be 3 people, definitely Heroes, standing next to each other in the center of the room.

The first person was a young girl, around Victor and Axis's age. She had shoulder length hair, parted in the middle, that she had dyed blood-red. She was wearing a long-sleeve button-up shirt, the same color as her hair, and had the cuffs of the arms hanging off, unbuttoned. She was wearing average length blue jeans, with red colored sneakers, to match her hair and shirt.

The second person had a tall, slim figure, and appeared to be a young adult, barely 20. He had an average short-sleeve sand colored T-Shirt on, with a nice tribal-ish design on it, and short, brown hair, with a minor 5-o'clock shadow on his face. He was wearing normal fitting jeans, with a belt, barely noticeable, going through his belt-loops, and normal dark brown shoes, that looked very comfortable.

The third and final person also appeared to be around the age of Victor and Axis. He was shorter than the other 2, with a nice build to his physique, and had dark, tanned skin. He had an average shaved haircut, which had grown out just enough to cover his scalp and show the black color of his hair. He was wearing a long, slightly large T-Shirt, black in color, baggy jeans, light gray in color, and comfortable white sneakers. He also had thick eyebrows and a light mustache.

"Hi," Victor spoke to the 3, "I'm going to guess the 3 of you are chosen Heroes like us."

"….Yes," the older male spoke in a soft voice.

"So, what are your names?" Axis asked, trying to sound friendly, which didn't fit her at all.

"My name is Kate," the girl answered.

"I go by Darkman," the older male followed.

"And I'm Roberto," the tanned male said, in a friendly voice.

"It's good to meet you all," Victor said, trying to overcome his shyness.

After greeting the others, Victor took a good look around the room, noticing how it was also quite large. The room wasn't enclosed like the first one: Instead, it seemed to open up into a large forest, with trees and vines everywhere, and grass covering the ground. Victor then turned around and noticed, just like in the last room, the door had strangely disappeared, giving them no way out.

"Hey, Axis, look," Victor said to his partner, pointing to the area of space that the door had previously taken up.

"Damnit, I guess they have to unlock their inner Heroes as well before we can leave," Axis cursed.

"Hey, Kate, Darkman, and Roberto, the five of us need to swap information about what we've seen so far," Axis spoke to her new friends.

The 5 Heroes sat down on the moist grass, and told each other everything that had happened. Axis and Victor told the 3 newer Heroes about the battle they had just been in, and everything that had happened, including how they summoned their own inner Heroes. Darkman, Kate, and Roberto told some general information about where they were from, what they were like, what they had been told by their inner Heroes etc., and afterwards, they stood back up, stretching after they had spent so much time talking on the ground.

"Wait, so we're probably going to have to fight monsters as well," Kate asked to Axis.

"Yeah, probably," Axis answered.

"I need a Hero, to save me now!!!" Roberto screamed.

"…What was that about?", the other Heroes asked, after a brief awkward silence.

"Well," Roberto started, "I was thinking that I could go ahead and summon my inner Hero, but that apparently isn't working out."

"You have to need a Hero before you can summon it," Victor informed Roberto, "Neither I, nor Axis, yelled that until we were about to be killed, with no way out of it. We yelled it in desperation."

"Oh…that isn't good."

"You'll end up yelling it without even thinking about it, to be honest. I didn't expect to yell it, my terror just…told me to."

"So when are we going to get attacked?" Darkman asked, wanting to get this over with.

As he said that, 5 snake-like creatures, that were about the same size as our Heroes, appeared out of nowhere directly in front of them. They were wearing slick armor, that didn't appear to be metal, but more of a leather-like material. They each had a small dagger, that had a design of god-knows-what on the blade. They slithered on the ground, waving their daggers around to confuse their enemies, before going in for a quick and silent strike.

"Gah, there are 5 of them!?!" Darkman yelled.

"One for each of us!" Axis yelled back, smirking at the fight they were about to engage in.

Victor and Axis, already having their weapons out and ready, went in to attack. Victor, interested in what it would do, yelled Saku when he slashed his sword, that he held backwards in his right hand, at one of the enemies, causing an electrical surge to fly at one of the enemies, whom managed to duck under it seconds before it passed by.

"So THAT'S what it can do!!!" Victor yelled, a huge grin on his face from finding his newfound ability.

"My turn!" Axis screamed, excitement in her eyes.

Axis yelled Saku as she threw one of her chakrams at the enemy. Her chakram then released a slight glint of light from the blade, before passing through the enemy like it was air, and skidding a tree, which automatically killed the tree, causing the leaves to fall, and the giant plant to wilt in literally seconds.

"Death is awesome!", she yelled in happiness.

"But, wait," Roberto said to her, "Why did your chakram not do ANYTHING to the enemy?"

"W-What?"

Axis had been too excited by the tree's instant death that she didn't notice that the chakram had no affect on the snake-like warrior in the slightest way.

"Heh, you shall have to do better than that if you want destroy us. We aren't like those bumbling beasts you fought in the last room, we are smart, and have a strategy your mortal brains can't easily figure out," the snake creature that Axis had tried to attack spoke to the 5 Heroes.

"What should we do now?" Kate asked everyone, not entirely sure that she would receive an answer.

"….Not die," Victor replied, deep in thought of how to defeat these foes.

----------------------------

So, there you all go. :) Darkman (Darkman2007), Kate (sirra), and Roberto (berto64) have now be introduced into the story. I know that they don't have much of personalities yet, but I'm still developing that. :)

I promise that my next blog will be a normal blog, instead of a story, because I know you are all missing that. ;) Plus, I'm kinda having writer's block on some things that need fleshing out in the next battle. So...yeah. :D I hope you all enjoyed it. :)

 (He wishes he was a Ninja Kitten: They ALWAYS get taken seriously. 8))

Later, Home Skillets! :)
