*Insert witty headline here*

The week begins anew. I went up to my local Gamestop to pick up my MGS4 pre-order bonus, The Beta Key to Metal Gear Online. Apparently some sort of DVD comes with it. I have yet to check that out. As you can imagine I'm pretty stoked to get in on the Beta(If all goes as planned, tonight I should have Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, so stay tuned for that). After that it was fight time. I don't care what anybody says, Chad Dawson lost that fight. Glen Johnson beat him up. There aint no other way around it. As far as the other fight goes, I wouldn't say that Antonio Tarver surprised me, more like Clinton Woods disappointed me. I've heard so much about this guy. He ended up being another overrated English fighter. Well maybe not overrated, that's too strong a word in this case. Overhyped. That's the one. Seriously, Tarver is the Gatekeeper of the Light Heavyweight division. If you can't get passed him, well...

Sunday ended with the 3rd game in the Sharks/Flames series. Still trying to figure out a few things from that game. 1) Did Marleau have some sort of target on his jersey? First was the would be Boarding call, then comes the elbow to the face, and while I'm on that subject 2) How does Cory Sarich clearly elbow Marleau in the face and San Jose gets a penalty? And finally 3) Just how in the Blue Hell did Calgary win that game?

Sharks vs. Flames Game 3 (Flames lead series 2-1)

Tonight at 7pm PST on Comcast SportsNet

[UPDATE] I was unable to buy Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. As luck would have it, my phone bill arrived thus putting my spending on hold.

Fight fans, are you ready?

Well the next couple of weekends look pretty awesome as far as fights go. On April 12th Showtimes got a pretty solid card.

First up is an IBF/IBO Light Heavyweight Title bout. Antonio Tarver (26-4-0 19 KO's) takes on Clinton Woods (41-3-1 24 KO's). The main event is a WBC Light Heavyweight title bout, Chad Dawson (25-0-0 17 KO's) faces Glen Johnson (46-11-2 31 KO's).

I don't like Tarver, Simple as that. His "I demand respect" Shtick got old quick. So I hope Woods knocks him out. As far as Dawson vs. Johnson goes, according to the numbers Dawson would be the favorite. But to be completely honest with you, I'm more looking forward to next Saturday.

On April 19th, in a UFC Welterweight title fight, Georges "Rush" St. Pierre (15-2-0, 6 KO's, 5 Submissions, 4 Decisions) battles Matt "The Terra" Serra (9-4-0, 1 KO, 4 Submissions, 4 Decisions). This fight will be on Pay Per View.

I hate Serra. I believe his win against St. Pierre was a fluke. St. Pierre won't underestimate him this time. St. Pierre has 2 things going for him in this second meeting with Serra: 1) He's coming off a huge win over Matt Hughes and that's an understatement. He dominated Hughes. 2) He wants to prove to the world that Serra's win was a fluke. Motivation. It's the driving force behind this fight.

The Playoffs continue(and MLB)

I'm man enough to admit that we lost game 1 last night, no big deal. It was still a solid game. There's no other way to put it, Miika Kiprusoff kick our ass last night with 37 saves. The news is not all bad though, Giants beat the Padres 1-0.

Flames vs. Sharks Game 2 [Flames lead series 1-0]

7:00 PM PST on Comcast SportsNet

Pictures are more interesting then words

This blog would've been alot more interesting if I had brought my damn camera. I went up to San Jose on Friday to see the Sharks play host to the St. Louis Blues. The Sharks won 4-1. I went without even thinking about bringing my camera. Although, if any of you actually do watch hockey, If you noticed during the post game wrap up a couple of idiots behind Randy and Drew, That was my Dad, my Brother, and me. I'll try to take screengrabs of our appearence sometime in the next few weeks. Until I do, your just going to have to take my word for it.

Interesting news for the week of 2/11/08 - 2/15/08

Quite an interesting week of news stories. Lets go over some of the ones that caught my interest:

Roger Goodell says that Bill Belichick has been taping defensive signals since 2000. Why am I not surprised? But I guess the more important question would be: Why did Goodell have the Spygate tapes destroyed? We're still waiting for an answer to that one.

The good news: EA announces sequels for Skate, Burnout, and Need for Speed. The bad news: EA Sports announced that the Exclusive NFL license has been extened until 2012.

Not to be outdone Acti-Blizzard also announces sequels for Spider-Man, Call of Duty and Marvel Ultimate Freakin Alliance! On an interesting side note, I have heard rumors that despite earning every "Best of" award ever created The next Call of Duty will not be made by Infinity Ward and will be set back in WWII. Again this is only a rumor.

Tim Silvia, Tito Ortiz, Andre Arlofski, and Mirko Cro Cop all want out of UFC. I don't blame them. According to my sources UFC has allowed Cro Cop to take a leave of absense and fight in other promotions while still remain under contract with UFC(He still has one fight left). The interesting thing is that Dana White is not a big fan of Inter-promotional fights or letting his contracted fighters fight else where, so one wonders just how in the hell Cro Cop was able to do that.

Jermaine Taylor (27-1-1, 17 Knockouts) gets set this Saturday to fight Kelly Pavlik (32-0, 29 Knockouts) at 166 pounds. You read that right, this Pay Per Veiw fight is non title. Now, I don't like the idea of paying for a Jermaine Taylor fight, especially one that seems like it was carved especially for him, any more then paying for a Maywether/De La-Hoya rematch. But what are the odds of that happening, right?

And finally the trailer for "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was finally revealed today, 2-14-08. You can check it out here.

Holiday Havoc 2007

The Holidays are finally upon us. As I write this I am 2 days from my Christmas Vacation. I will be off from Dec 24th - January 1st, and I'm gonna need that time cause I have a crap ton of games coming my way. 3 for sure(Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Ultimate Mortal Kombat, and COD 4). In fact because I know for a fact that those are sitting under my tree as soon as I'm done typing this I'm gonna add them to my site collection. The worst feeling in the world is waiting for your vacation to start. All day today I have felt like tomorrow is Friday. Even though I know that it's only gonna be Thursday I still feel like it should be Friday. Which means that by the time Friday really does roll around, I'll be ready to do my self in with a bathtub and a toaster ala Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

The attack on Christmas continues. A few days ago I overheard a few people talking about how the term Christmas is slowly going away due to all this P.C. BS. I even heard Christmas lights referred to as "holiday lights" the other day! WTF!?! But thats a topic for another time. I just had to get that off of my chest. I'd like to close my last blog of the year by doing 2 things. First I would like to say Merry CHRISTMAS to everyone on Gamespot. And secondly I would like to put a smile on your face. See you next year!

Merry Christmas to all,

Will

Getting ready to go online

It's been a few weeks since my last post. Time for an update! If things go according to plan I will have a wireless router in my home by tomorrow, and if that works then I'm off to buy Warhawk. I've already thought ahead to what I'll do when I get the router. First, like I mentioned above(or over to the left depending on how your screen resolution is) comes Warhawk, then a bigger harddrive(60 gigs are fine but if I'm going online I'll want more space), and finally, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix. Say that 5 times fast. Don't actually do that, I was just trying to be funny. Well thats aboutit for now, just a quick update for you. I'll be back in a few weeks. Maybe with a rant, who knows.

See you in Warhawk,

Will

Boredom Writers

My last blog was posted in April. Since that time I turned 22(May 12th), finally bought a Playstation 3, helped a friend move into his new house, and took care of my family's house for 3 weeks while my parents went back to New York. Kind of a homecoming for my dad.At the time of writing this it is 5:30 pm, I would just type up whatever comes to my mind, but I could end up saying something incredibly stupid. Yeah I know what you(20 of you apparently) are thinking, "With a screen name like 'Ozzer_Ozby' how could he not say anything stupid?". I'd like to tell the story of how I got that name, but I don't remember exactly were I came up with it...I let you all come up with your own story. Well I wish I had more interesting thing to type up but it's the middle of the week and I used all my comedy skills last weekend, also my hands are shaking for some reason. I'm gonna wrap this up before I start rambling on and on.

Till next time,

Will
