You are starting to sound suspicious :roll: but it's really not my problem, so I'll explain:

The purpose of the update is to patch the console to the 3.0E version. However, to fight piracy, they added a little extra file that tries to innutilize consoles that have been modded. How is it done? I don't know. How long does the process take? I couldn't say.

The only advice I can give you is that if, hypotethically, you had used the game in a modded console, and it hadn't become unusable afterwards, you should refrain from using the game again, or any other illicit game, for that matter, because you would be walking on thin ice if you did.

That's all it does to the Wii, and what does brick mean?

To brick is to destroy the console on the inside, basically. Make it as useful as a brick, hence the name.
