Which was the better deal for their time?

• Orange Box with 5 games which included Half Life 2 and Episodes, Teams Fortress 2 and Portal.

OR

• The Master chief Collection with Halo1,2,3,ODST and Halo 4 all with new cut scenes 4k HDR at 60fps.

I put 500 hours into TF2 so i got my monies worth out of that alone.

Does anybody with a 1440p monitor have their consoles outputting at 4k UHD settings? I have the PS4 pro which according to its settings outputs 3840 x 2160. I thought it was just a problem with using a unrecognized resolution. I got the Xbox one X today which actually does supports 1440p properly in the settings, but yet again 4k UHD auto selects itself and does look excellent still.

Whats gives?

Oh yeah its a game you loved that you couldn't go back to because it was changed to something else. I miss World of Warcraft looking forward to it.

There is a video on Linus tech tips playing Doom at 8k, he need about 4 Titan V graphics cards.

The problem is Steam doesn't adjust their prices anymore. They're selling games over a year old at full price, they put a 50% off sale on which makes the price what it should of been to begin with.

The real question is with all this hard work will it transfer over to new hardware. I can see this being a waste of time with half of games not working and full of glitches. You can't optimize it for hardware then expect it to work when its completely changed after. I hope im wrong and MS has built a emulator to be a permanent solution, because the original xbox emulator for the 360 was garbage.

Ill wait for the digital foundry video see how it runs. And how come its on steam is this not a MS game?
