Yeah, monitors are possibly the hardest thing to choose from when all you have to look at are some pictures.

I've been looking at the Sceptre X20WC-Gamer, and was about ready to order it. Though it seems like it has been "removed" from every single site that used to sell them, not out of stock, removed. If anyone knows the deal with that can you fill me in please?

In light of this I have been looking at the Samsung 206BW

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001095

The specs are basically identical of the sceptre, except no glossy panel. That's ok with me. The problem is I started reading some reviews, and found out that the model has different manufacturers. Some people have said that there is a noticable difference in quality between the different manufacturers. So the whole obssessive research that I did with the sceptre started again.

Right now the monitor I'm using is very old, It's a Gateway FPD1730. At this point anything will be a huuuge upgrade, but I still want to get the best bang for my buck.

All I'm really worried about is: Will it look good. I don't care about all the little details, i won't be looking at it from weird viewing angles etc.

I'm currently stuck on these 2 monitors,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094

 and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824112003

I found a good deal on the acer, so the price on the 2 is basically the same. My question is, will the 100 difference contrast ratio be that big of a deal?

1) My 6 year old nephew has more sense then you do.

2) When I was 13 I knew everything there was to know about reproduction, and that was without taking sex-ed class. I also knew that it was absolutely stupid to think about having kids before age 18 or so, and even then it's not the best choice.

3) Please don't pass on your DNA.

Well first of all in the future you should never act like that over something as simple as a gatorade

Second of all, don't post your "life" problems on an internet gaming forum :) talk to your parents instead.

It was an awesome game for it's time, but like others said nowadays it's quite dated.

One thing that irks me though...is when I see AO on a list of "free mmorpgs" with a description such as "now completely free!"

Ao is not completely free.....you can play the bare vanilla AO only. The 4 x-pacs out are 75% of the game imo and you have to pay-to-play for them.

If you like a really in-depth character creation, ability to literally make your character whatever you want ( Granted some play styles with a certain prof won't do well) then try it.

I was like that for the longest time, until I discovered some new-age music browsing the intra-webs one day.

Now I'm a complete audiophile and have a complex speaker system in my computer room :\
