Mobo: Gigabyte GA-965P-S3
PSU: Aerocool Zerodba 500w
RAM: 2gb G.skill ddr2 800
CASE: Apevia X-Dreamer 2
GPU: Ati 1950xt
Parts got here today, whoo excited! Put it all together without any problems that I know of..plugged it up and hit the power button. Zilch!
I get no beeps at all, my monitor doesn't change at all when I power on the computer. But all the fans/lights/drives work fine, I hear them powering on and they stay on until I flip the switch.
Also, The power indicater LED on the front doesn't come on, and I can't turn the computer off via the button. I have to hit the power supply on/off at the back to shut it off. Reset button doesn't work either. I have 2 connectors in my case labled "- P LED" and " + P LED"....I read my motherboard's instructions but it didn't say anything about those 2. My case apparently didn't come with instructions.
Things I have tried:
Resetting CMOS
Replacing CMOS battery
Taking out unnecessary hardware 1 by 1
Completely taking apart PC and rebuilding it
Swearing violently at the PC
Please help me solve this because I think I'm about to go nuts over these rediculous computer problems I encounter...
PS: Would I hear beeps from POST if I have no speakers hooked up?
I decided to buy one during christmas after reading all the good reviews.....BIG mistake. The computer constantly freezed up during games, being more of a DIY kinda guy I tried everything I could to resolve the issue. After trying seemingly everything under the sun I sent it back to them for repair. Waited 2 weeks, thought I would finally be able to enjoy my games when it arrived early morning.....WRONG.
The computer would not even boot up, it was worse off then when I sent it back. The customer support is also terrible, and if you're looking to get a response out of them via email you better forget it. I sent an email to them back in december and still to this day haven't got a reply. Their phone support is also disgusting, each time I called a man with a middle eastern accent picked up ( Do they have more then 1 guy working at support?! ) . I could barely understand him.
Cyberpowerpc is a gamble, you could get a good one, or be a victim like me. Don't do it.
I am now disputing the payment with the credit card company and getting a full refund, regardless if I am under refund policy, and I'm not going to look back.
Do some research and order parts from www.newegg.com, and build it yourself. You will be much happier with the end result.
The computer didn't even work out of the box, constant BSODS relating to memory errors, sent it back for repair and when it got back it wouldn't even BOOT ( long beep on power on ....means RAM problem )
Seems like cyberpowerpc doesn't have a damn clue what they are doing. I disputed the payment with the credit card company and I'm getting a full refund so I can build my own...
GET A REFUND from cyberpowerpc.
Btw, mine had the same mobo as your's, so it's most likely an issue with the mobo model. But still, get a refund instead of trying to work it out with cyberpowerpc, trust me.
I get average about 30 FPS in oblivion with everything cranked, dips to 20s in some outdoor areas.
Now...I'm looking at a Sceptre 20" widescreen LCD monitor. Will upgrading from a 17" to a 20" take a big chunk out of my performance in oblivion?
My system isn't overclocked at all....so if it isn't a big hit in FPS I could perhaps make it up by OC'ing?
It wasn't very practical though, and would cost way too much to get something interactive on it, it's a start though.
And yea, ordering from cyberpower is definately the worst computer experience I have ever had, I see soo many good testimonials on their site. Their tech support sucks, I could barely understand the person that picked up ( some middle-eastern accent) He also had no clue what he was talking about.
As far as being banned for no reason, I've never heard of that happening to anyone. Are you sure you didnt maybe do something against the ToS? You could've done it months ago and they could ban you now for it.
