I don't know what to believe; I've got people on here saying that 1440x900 will be supported via HDMI, then I've got people on another site saying I won't be able to change the resolution over HDMI and I'd be better off with VGA.

Well, my Samsung TV/Monitor has a DVI input, a VGA input, component inputs and a HDMI port. I just hope someone using HDMI has a 16:10 TV so they can tell me if the 1440x900 native resolution of my TV is supported. I have several options, but HDMI would be my first choice, then a DVI to HDMI cable then VGA.

I just want to know if there is a new HD setting for people with 16:10 TVs using HDMI. My TV is 1440x900 resolution and I was wondering if they are going to add a new HD setting (Possibly 900p?).

But I heard that with a DVI to HDMI cable, I will be able to choose the 1440x900 resolution after the update, unless they add an extra HD setting for HDMI?

- HDMI Cable

- DVI to HDMI Cable

- VGA Cable

- Composite Cable

Which should I use for 1440 x 900 for the best picture quality?

Bearing in mind I want the best quality HD image and be able to play in 1440 x 900 should I go for:

- HDMI Cable

- DVI to HDMI Cable

- VGA Cable

- Composite Cable

I may just get a HDMI cable and see what happens come the update. I hope they add a new HD setting or something because I don't see any other way how 16:10 can be supported via HDMI if there isn't a new HD setting, such as 900p.
