Okay so can we play GTA Online without having to buy a copy of GTA V? NOPE. So why R* is pushing for it to get a separate review from major sites it beyond me.
I do somewhat agree on the score, the worst thing that can happen in a online game is when everything you spent days working on vanishes. In fact judging by the aforementioned fact I would have given it an even worser score since R* is treating this as a separate game.
Don't get me wrong I did enjoy GTA V, but Online get's boring really fast once you've realized there's not much to do. Hopefully when they will add content this might change but for now I'm over it, and the fact that people who didn't lose anything will get the 500k stimulus burns me a bit. I lost my well ranked character twice along with my money, so I deserve it but not the guy who didn't lose his current 30 level character and has a high end apartment with a garage packed with cars.
This alternate reviewing isn't working. I mean this game got a 9/10 when it launched a few months ago and now we see a 4/10 when clearly this game is worth more than that.
A 4/10 means this game is pure BS - a complete waste of time and money, the ironic part is you give the game 9/10 during launch - just to please publishers/advertisers - and then give a "alternate" review of 4/10. Even if this is clearly not the case it seems that way.
The whole point of a review is to get an idea of how well the game is before or during launch. Making an alternate review when the fact is it's still "Gamespot's" "official" review isn't fair as #1 it probably won't be included in any aggregating scores, publication, besides whatever the original rating was most people bought the game anyways based of it, so an alternate review of a game months after is pointless.
My final question is, why didn't Tom review it at launch and gave the 4/10 he just did and have Kevin do the 9/10 alternate review? Was the fear of publisher backlash so much or the overall criticism being generated? Also does that mean Gamespot's average review is [(9+4)/2] = 6.5? Because I surely see it as Gamespot's review and not Tom or Kevin's.
It's investing for the long run, at the same time you're forgetting the dirt cheap higher education to produce more professionals. And I agree hc is a problem, but things here are a ton better than the US
That's the Quebec govt for ya, they supported companies like Ubisoft since the beginning and they support game devs all the time. Not only do they give grants but tax credits as well amounting to 30% per game dev.
