those people who want the best backwards compatibility need only do one thing.

Buy an PS2 iteslf.

Brand new ones are dirt cheap now and you are garenteed its going to work. Seriously you can buy the 40gb PS3 AND a PS2 and it will be cheaper then the 60gb model with partial backwards compatibility. Some people are just damn lazy to change consoles and what not.

Why not have your PS2 in ya bedroom or another TV instead of your main one for ya ps3? besides its too easy just to change a few cables around. If your seriouse about keeping a ps2 and gaming, you can take 2 minutes outta ya time t change a few cables for a few hours gaming. Sheesh.

I love My X-fi card....yes I can say there is a difference...

However, there are several cards to choose from, and I would not suggest spending the money on one of the ones with the front panel. I use it only because I make music and use the midi ports.

But if you are not really into recording then there is no need to waste on the front panel

synisterk

so i can get ones without the front panel and keep the speakers connected into the mobo? may u gimme some examples and recomendations?

hey ive noticed gamers have sound cards and use that for their audio instead of the built in motherboard solutions. While ive noticed my motherboard solution to be damn good (realtek HD audio) is there a real differance in getting a dedicated sound card? How much better is the sound?

I got some money to throw away on my pc and a sound card seamed interesting, but I dont know if it offers THAT much of a differance in the audio side of things.

i was looking at the creative x fi gamer solution (if its called that, cant remember) simply cause its creative and the price was nice (160 bux) but is the sound THAT MUCH BETTER?

I listen to music more then play games, using (at the moment) a 2.1 configution with logitech speakers (the other 3 speakers arnt connected atm for 5.1)

opinions? thoughts?

I love the feel of my slightly old PS2 controller, I may use that, but I do like the idea of the Games for windows controller support

Sopose its a toss up between my PS2 controller and a 360 one, I do like the look of the Black Elite version

Hey guys

I was just wondering what gamepa dor controller would be a best buy for a PC?

Also would a controllers drivers be able to manipulate all games? Or only ones that support a pad?

I was looking at getting a 360 controller and wireless reciever for the PC and using that, but it dosent come with software

I was also thinking of getting a PS2 controller adapter for PC that comes with software and stuff

Ive never looked into this much, and I felt the best way to get an idea was to ask on a forum.

So in a nutshell

What controller would you recommend and would software that comes with it be able to be used on all/most games?

Cheers.
