In my personal, unbiased, opinion, I feel the future of mobile gaming is in big trouble. The games are all a dime a dozen, and there is rarely a game with great multiplayer. On the other hand you have the PS4 coming out next year with it's Cell 2 processor, 4GB ram, 256GB SSD, 1GB NVIDIA graphics card, 6 USB 3.0 ports, blu-ray, and the new 12 axis controllers. PSN will also see a huge update as well. Sony should absolutely dominate the next generation, taking with it mobile gaming, as well as the Xflop 720 and the Pii U.
Was google also doing the polling for this years presidential nomination? Let me tell you something, people are PSYCHED about the PS4. I personally know 3 people who can't wait to see the PS4's Cell 2 processor, 6x USB 3.0 ports, 12-Axis controllers, 4GB ram, quad core GPU, and FREE online. Who wants to buy Xbox RROD 2.0? LOL not me. Who wants to spend $300+ over 5 years on online game? LOL, again, not me.
Rumors are Nintendo is losing 3rd party support due to it's awful graphics, lack of quality online multiplayer, and lack of blu-ray. Also, there is fear the PS4 will come out and completely dominate the market, so developers don't want to invest 10 million in a dead end console (Wii U).
This is exactly why I own as PS3. I don't have to worry about loading 5-6 disc in my machine while I play a large game. I have the cell processor, blu-ray, FREE online, and the best controller out in the market. The PS3 is STILL future proof while the Xbox 360 came out already outdated. Shame. I can't wait for this GTA which features all the cities. Vice city was my favorite! I wonder how they will theme the game in terms of which decade. I liked the 80's personally.
I remember people used to laugh at us becuase we remained loyal to Sony through the "dark" times (although our "dark" times were better than any times the Xflop or Pii have ever seen). Now that the PS3 is DOMIATING the market we can say, "I told you so!", but we won't because we know what it's like to be picked on. Now that the Cell has proven to be the future of gaming, we can expect to see the Cell 2 feature in the PS4 while the Xflop 720 features the RROD Part 2.
Looks like PSN dominates again... Not to mention it is FREE. I can't believe Xbox 360 fanboys spent the last 7 years paying $50-60 a year for live. That's over $300! You could get an entire console these days for that price. Oh well, I expect a complete domination next gen with PS4 utilizing the Cell 2 processor.
Realistically..1 billion is pretty small price for dominating the whole industry. Now when Samsung officialy positioned itself as dominating force in smartphone industry they can afford to make much more unique phones, as showed by SIII.

Not if the iPhone 5 has anything to say about it! With the retina display, quad-core A6 processor, improved front side camera, iOS 6, Siri, larger display, and the Apple brand, the iPhone 5 is sure to regain Apple's marketshare in the smart phone category it created! Samsung was simply a dying company before it totally ripped off the iPhone and saved it's life.
according to this financial report i found on vgchartz , psp and ps3 are still bleeding money for sony! and this is not counting the slow moving vita,
this has to be bad , for being 5 yrs into this gen i think by now they should have at least got a little bit of the losses back , but appearently they are still bleeding

That happens when you put a superprocessor (Cell) inside a gaming/high def video playback device with free online. Sony has greatest market share, and it's momentum will translate into PS4 dominance.

Xbox 360 has really come to a screeching halt in terms of sale. Looks like both the Wii fad and the 360 fad have finally faded.
