[QUOTE="PS3Fanaddict"]it was also in EGM Sept 08 issueIronBassAccording to 1Up.com (that time from the same staff as EGM), it was on the Rumor section, and it was expected to be a PS3/360 multiplat. Nothing more than a rumor about a multiplat. it was RECENTLY mentioned in game informer, thats 2 magazines, plus a bunch of other sources

This is a big "What if..." topic, which has nothing to do with facts but just a single possible outcome. Yes you can pick any date, but what if the current state of things remained the same for x years, but what if it didn't.
Cant you see how this fails? I mean if you could find a document or a link to something that confirmed that everything you've suggested will be true up to a given date then your topic would be solid. But, to say that we should imagine how things will be in 5 years, or some other arbitrary date, serves no purpose here in System Wars. Here facts are needed.
Maybe you should have created this topic on another board. Of course you're a level one user with a transparently PS3 fan name, so I'm guessing you're just here to bash the 360.
no because for some people, x years could be even less then 1 year from now, im sure there is at least ONE person who wants to stop paying for live, and that poor guy will be screwed if he wants to play online again, unless he bought his multiplat for ps3.....and btw a big what if is "what if live becomes free (lmao)", not what i said due to this very fact.you're splitting hairs PSfanatic,
Is this thread now about predictions in to the future based on the here and now?
Those trends that you speculate are based on what experience and history?
This is all speculations and any examples that you bring up should be based on a large sample, not some lone idea that you think would offset the general notion that.
the Xbox360 is more popular then the PS3 - reason why Xbox360>PS3
ok then lets look at today, what if today someone in the world is sick of paying for live after 3 years, and has decided its time to move on, then in a month from now he wants to play a game maybe JUST ONCE, and put it away again, well then it sux not to have the multiplat on the ps3.......this is why in my original post i said +-5 years....man ppl take words out of context easily around here huhwait and see, there are many more 3rd party devs, even ones that made games EXCLUSIVE for 360 are moving to ps3.PS3Fanaddict
Where's the proof? If there are, then you can find proof, if you can't we demote you to a fanboy without a clue!

If it's about "right NOW" then what's the significance of the "imagine 5 or more/less years"? Stop dodging this. How can you say that it's only about "right NOW" when you ask us to imagine it being the same 5 years from now? If you want to talk about "right NOW" then lets talk about it in the context of what we know "right NOW", not some potential future.
How can you say it's about "right NOW" and ask us to imagine it being the same 5 years from now? What are we in, pretend land?
"right NOW" is today, not 5 years from now. Think about it. Yeah, what you're saying is true in that we're supposed to be thinking about the current state of things, but you want us to think that it will be the same 5 years from now...which is not "right NOW". Am I right? Or did you mean something else when you wrote "imagine 5 or more/less years from now"? because 5 years was just an EXAMPLE, you can pick any date, but im talking about if THIS state continues...holyyyyyyThis is a big "What if..." topic, which has nothing to do with facts but just a single possible outcome. Yes you can pick any date, but what if the current state of things remained the same for x years, but what if it didn't.

[QUOTE="PS3Fanaddict"] which is why were seeing 3rd party devs moving over to the ps3IronBassFor example? bungie
[QUOTE="Meta-Gnostic"]more complicated but more powerful Cell CPU.IronBass"Complicated" is the important word here, no power ;) And that's not the 360's fault. It;s Sony's. lol it was when it was new, but not anymore, developers are using it with ease now, even easier then 360, which is why were seeing 3rd party devs moving over to the ps3, for more powerful system, and less pirating
