Why is life good for me right now? Baseball season is back! The competition is hotter than ever in my team's division: the NL West. The Padres took 3 out of 4 from the Astros and now face an intense showdown with the Dodgers of Los Angeles. I look forward to Andrew Jones facing my Padres 18 games a season. Also, Joe Torre is a new addition to them Dodgers. Let's all hope the Padres can persevere and win against the Dodgers. Go Padres!

One Week Until Freedom
by Padrepride on Comments
Well, here it is. Baseball season. The official season starts on Tuesday, but for me and other Padres fans, it starts on March 31st. It was a viciously long offseason, with a bunch of events like the Mitchell Report, Roger Clemens, Red Sox strikes and even Jonathon Paplebon losing the World Series winning ball to his dog. Let's hope this season will be as good as the last season. Prepare yourself!
Two New Games
by Padrepride on Comments
Well, my game drought is over as I have pirchased two new games for my Nintendo Wii. First, I got MLB 2K8 which was a pretty average game, but I love it as I am a die-hard baseball fan. The second game I got was Super Smash Bros. Brawl! Yes! This and Super Mario Galaxy are the best two games I have ever played. The graphics are excellent [for the Wii], the gameplay is top notch as always, the music is wonderful and online play is a beautiful bonus. My favorite character is Mr. Game and Watch.
Baseball Season is Coming!
by Padrepride on Comments
I am very excited for the start of the Major League Baseball Season. My Padres are in it to win their division although it is going to be a very competitive division for the National League West. I am excited because I am attending the Padres' Opening Night on March 31st against the Houston Astros at PETCO Park in San Diego. Jake Peavy and Roy Oswalt will be the starting pitchers unless injuries come about. Can't wait till baseball season!:o
Fantasy Baseball

I was thinking of creating a private league on the mlb.com fantasy open for people to play fantasy baseball. So post here if you're interested or pm. It's a lot of fun because you get to draft players and then made trade offers to other teams.
The Most Depressing Time of the Year
by Padrepride on Comments
Well, It's a very depressing time of year for me. Baseball's hot stove action is coming to a close [besides Johann Santana] and Spring Training is not yet upon us. Yes, I know, it's Super Bowl Week, but the Chargers aren't in it. Although I detest Eli Manning, I am rooting for the Giants just because the Pats beat the Bolts... twice. Also, Super Smash Bros. is still what, a month and a half away? Very depressing. There is just nothing to talk about. No movies are blowing me out of the water, and all I get to look forward to every day is school.
Intense Wii games on the Horizon
by Padrepride on Comments
I am very excited for the upcoming launches of Wii games that will most certainly determine the fate of the Wii in the console wars. The two i have in mind are of course Super Smash Bros. Brawl, coming out March 11th, and Mario Kart Wii, which I am uncertain of the release date. I am also looking forward to the release of MLB 2K8 which will probably be the first legitimate third party sports game for the Wii.
Nice Try

Well, the Chargers were beaten down by the Patriots on Sunday 21-12. It was a very disappointing loss as a Bolts fan as we had three trips to inside the 10 yard line and only came away with 3 field goals. The defense held up along with Phillip Rivers but we couldn't get it done. Personally, I'm rooting for the Giants on Super Bowl Sunday even though I'm a hater of Eli Manning after he wouldn't come to play in San Diego. I do like plexico Burress and Michael Griffith. Here in San Diego, all there is to look forward is baseball season which is still a long two months away.

Walt Disney World
by Padrepride on Comments
Well, my recent abscence from Gamespot was caused by a 7 day trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando , Florida. I love that place. For those of you that have never been there, they have four theme parks- Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney Studios, and the Animal Kingdom] two water parks- [Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon], and two entertainment districts,[Boardwalk and Downtown Disney] and they also have 30 hotels! [I'm not going to list them all because that would take way to long. Just go to www.disneyworld.com
