Absolutly, the darkness is a great shooter. although you didn't like the darkness portions of the game, there are way around it, the story is excellent, very gripping, and the overall experience isn't dampered if you don't use the darkness powers, although you'll miss some cool jaw dropping moments

FALLOUT 3!

if you've never played any of the fallout games then you may not understand how incredible this game will be, but think of it this way, it a more violent version of Oblivion, with mutants and set in a desolate alternate reality.
