Hi, I have one of the 60gig models that launched at the end of 2006 and so far it has held up extremely well with little or no problems whatsoever. My question is that if I chose to upgrade the HD and replace it with a larger one, preferably around 200gigs, would it do away with the Emotion Engine that allows me to play many of the older PS2 format games or would it just be a PS3 with a larger HD and storage space being the only change?
I've had mine since '06, occasionally the fan gets a little loud, not too loud, just a little noticeable, and only for a brief moment, usually whhen loading games...
Otherwise its as quiet as a church mouse.
I don't notice it all.
I doubt yours has any serious problems but hey, if you worried then return it.
Yeah like Dracula's link and IGN has a similar one too, usually I come to Gamespot to find a single game but lists like IGN's and Dracula's I can print off and check what I plan on getting!
This, like Dracula's, is what I was talking about --->http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.html
I just peeped the New Releases week-by-week and I like the idea and how each game has a little limage by the name. I suppose this can suffice by clicking next week over and over is slighty annoying as opposed to a whole page.
The week-by-week keeps it orderly which I like but a "view all" option could make quick finds easier as opposed to what seems like browsing.
How about creating and updating periodically a list for each system/handheld with all of the upcoming games and their release dates in an easy to find place so that we don't have to constantly type in a different game to see when it comes out, instead we can see all of the games on one page or pages...
If he got his around release like myself, after purchasing the system and getting insurance/extended warranty on it it came to around 700 dollars @ Bestbuy.
I've had my 60 gig since late 2006, no problems at all, has frozen maybe 2 or 3 times and no firmware problems ever... knock on wood...
Someone has probably said this before me or at least mentioned it but, did no one say any of this could be added later in a future firmware upgrade?
Way to jump to conclusions so quick...
I just hope more games get trophies because at the moment Super Stardust HD does not look appealing to me, however, PixelJunk Monsters Encore might see its way onto my HDD but thats only one game.
I don't trade games in because I don't want to get ripped off at the game store and because later down the road I might want to go back and play that one game that I wasn't too fond of earlier.
I'm assuming the trophies are based off of saves so if you haven't deleted those you should be okay, not sure though, however, I am fairly certain that Sony has figured out a way to implement the new firmware update so that it works out accordingly for all.
[QUOTE="darthogre"]I'm not sure why Sony decided to release KZ2 after this game.......I think this game will not fair too well when going up against Gears 2 but that's just my opinion after seeing the multiplayer in action. Maybe they can fix it up so it's more polished._SOULtoSQUEEZE_
i tend to agree, but hopefully with gears 2 being on the other system it wont hurn resistance 2 that bad. honestly though, idk why everyone is so hyped for this game. the first one was just an average shooter, and those videos dont look that great really. Killzone 2 looks to have much more promise.
I think Gears is hyped too much, a handful of people I know w/ 360s don't like it
