So there won't be any cutscenes other than maybe an intro at the main menu? That's pretty bad. I mean, it's true SSE was kinda dumb, but I'm having a hard time picturing a worthwhile single-player experience without any narrative. The old school way of just dropping you into the next fight with no exposition isn't really gonna cut it 2014.

It works for every fighting game that isn't Persona 4 Arena. It just depresses me that Nintendo is this out of touch. They still aren't aware of this Internet fad as here to stay.
A few others like Mortal Kombat have 'em. Just saying that if you want the game to have a strong single-player experience (this is Nintendo we're talking about) you need to have some narrative. Games like Street Fighter can get away with it because they are niche and focus strongly on the multiplayer.
