I haven't had mine replaced at all, and I have the original 40gb model. It still works beautifully.

Mine does the exact same thing. I haven't played Fallout 3 in a couple weeks yet those are the last trophies it shows I earned even though I've gotten a couple dozen more after beating InFamous and Bad Company.

The PS3 uses variable speed smart fans, so the fans only kicks on when the temperature reaches a certain point and then kicks off when it falls below that point again. It's more efficient and uses less electricity...that's why it should like the fan is kicking on randomly though.

Certain games require more system resources than others, and because of Killzone 2's graphics and level design I would bet it that it requires I hefty amount of resources for the PS3 to be able to render accurately. Your fan is kicking because your CPU is heating up more quickly than it would with games that use less resources (opposed to Killzone 2). Try using a can of compressed hair on the vents on your PS3 and that might prevent it from kicking on...at least immediately. It can be annoying. Don't worry about your PS3 breaking down on you though; it's normal.

I thought it was great! Red Faction is one of my favorite franchises. I might pick up the new one tomorrow while I'm out.

I'm still confused...you say that there aren't enough people who are fans of PS3 exclusives, but your posting in the PS3 forum? Why not the General Games forum...that seems more appropriate.

Metal Gear Solid for me. I'm surprised that you're poll didn't include some PS3 exclusives that have their own franchise like Uncharted or Resistance.

If you fell compelled to do it already then odds are you'll be happy with your decision. I think that you should do it.

Fallout 3 for sure, and I'd say Bioshock for your number two.
