The thing that's funny about threads like this is we all know what the person is trying to say, but they don't want to explicitly say it (for fear that it looks bad, and it does, but also fear of being yelled it, which they deserve 😋), so they just get to step 3 instead of step 4 of the process and leave it there. It's what's not being said of it all...the dog whistle, too, in many cases.

And what's not being said is "Women don't play games, so stop the woke bullshit and DEI nonsense and just make games for dudes"

And that is besides the point: what if it was true? Are we to accept it as proof that men are genetically predisposed to playing video games, and women are not? Or maybe the lesson is that games are exclusionary and tend to only favor men, which has led to the false belief of the former.

Who knows!? I tend to err on the side of progress though.

The Mario movie is forgettable. Not a bad time, but there was barely anything memorable about it, it was in one eye and out the other. I kinda want to see what would happen if they got the Hotel Transylvania people to do the movie!

I mean, the comparisons are there for a reason... I don't even mean that in a desparaging way. I rather enjoyed AC Odyssey and did a completionist run on it. Perhaps Tsushima has more refined systems or a better story or whatever, but I was doing the same stuff I always do.... Meh.

Not only that, but a survey conducted via e-mail is not a reliable method. People should not blindly believe what a survey, study, or poll say as most use unreliable methods and more likely skewed to support an agenda of some kind.
