I personally think it was an attempt to get pc gamers to switch from PC to X-Box, not necessarily by making GFWL crap but by funneling people who go looking for GFWL on the net to XBox live sites. I mean how hard can it be for Microsoft to create a site dedicated to GFWL instead of making it a small part of the Xbox marketplace site?

Well the amount of money Nintendo has made this gen they can certainly afford to keep expanding, but what is there exuse for the Wii-U specs, to keep manufacturing costs as low as possible for a big profit margin? they could of easily put more meat on that system just like with the Wii.

I'm sadly dissapointed by Nintendo atm, I thought considering the amount of profit they made this gen they would atleast make a console thats on par with the others hardware wise but unfortunately I can see this becoming a pattern for the long run.

Nintendo said they wanted to make the best Console for a cheap Price.

So Nintendo is just being your daily average Budget PC Gamer. Which means I should expect WiiU Games to look like this.

Which 3 games are those?!

I am guessing Skyrim, Transformers and Borderlands.

Steam, although there are a lot of games on other DD that are not available on Steam, and while it is still early days I am hopeful that Greenlight will help bring some of those games to Steam in the future.

Am I the only one that does not see the relevance of this finding? Even if the preliminary results are found to be correct for the most part, it still does not show that game developers/publishers would make less revenue by eliminating used games sales. People are jumping to conclusions based on results that are focused on a very limited scope. As stated this are prliminary results, and I hope when the full findings are released they will include a comparison of game sales covering a time frame of at least a year after a game is released. What I would expect to see is that while we might see a decline of new game sales at lunch, we will see a greater increase of sales in new games through out the life of the game. Now the interesting thing will be the conclusion of the study. Will the greater sale of games at lower price at the expence of launch sale result in a greater revenue for the publishers or will it mean they make less money in the long run.

Give it up, looks like this one isn't going to make it, which is sad. I think it picked a bad time and got overshadowed by Obsidian's kickstarter, which is a shame.

[QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"][QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"] Not really. Dead Rising was rather mediocre, especially compared to Day Z and the soon to be War Z - Alpha starts on Oct 15th.OB-47

You have a thing for conjectures. I don't. So here's a picture of Jamie Eason's ass as rebuttal: jamie-eason1.jpg

Why don't you take a picture, it lasts longer. *right click* "Save Image...."

Project Fiona is a go. We will start the final design tweaks with you guys next week. Look for it.

It be cool if Project Fiona could do the Wii U/PS3+Vita function, I liked the Razer Switchblade more though, they could of just added those side controlls that way it would be accesible for FPS

[QUOTE="Philmon"][QUOTE="texasgoldrush"] Please...if you don't like the DLC, than don't buy it. Its that simple. Its very easy to ignore skin and weapon packs....I have (Firefight pack the exception). Lets whine about thanes alternate costume that doesn't fit the universe because we have to pay for it....lol And once again..I don't give a rats ass about business practices unless they really affect my game, like Heroes VI DRM scheme. All that matters is that a game is good or not, because face it, everybody will gouge you. Thats how the business works.texasgoldrush
Again you are missing the point. This isn't about you and what you like or dislike. This is about why Bioware fans reacted the way they did to ME3's ending while CDP fans reacted in a different manner towards a similar situation with The Witcher 2. Now I am not saying Bioware should change its practices to match those of CDP, but there are better ways they could have made money without gouging their fans to the point where they turn on them with such furiousity over a game's ending. Here is a list of a couple of things they could have done or should not have done. - Release a GoTY edition of their games with all the DLCs included for those fans that don't want to download their games. I can't understand why they do not do this with the ME titles (they did it with DAO). This has become a common practice now and the only reason I can think of for them not doing it is to make as much money as they can from thier fans. - Stop having a fixed price for the DLCs. It is rediculus that it would cost me $10 more to get all the ME2 story DLCs than it would cost me to get the actuall ME2 game. Again this comes down to gouging their fans. - Don't release day one DLC and then charge people $10 to get it after they have just spent $60 on your game. This is ludicrous. - Don't release a pack of your games years after their release and not include the game DLCs. I really don't know what it is with Bioware and their DLCs but it seems when it comes to DLCs they try and do everything in their power to piss off their customers. And this are suggestion which are only concerned with DLCs. This is not a case of charging for DLCs or giving them away free. It is a case of charging people for DLC in a manner where they do not feel they are being gouged or cheated. Developers like Bethesda, Obsidian and Gearboxs have managed to find that sweet spot where those who want more from the game are happy to spend money on additional content at the time of release or wait for the GoTY edition and get it then.

The PS3 version is the GOTY version for ME2, every DLC but Arrival is free. However, think on this fact. There has been MORE FREE downloadable content for Mass Effect 3 than there has been for The Witcher 2...with the new Retaliation pack coming out next week. Thats FIVE free DLC now. Do not forget the other side of the coin here.

Are you kidding me? Seriously? Your answer to my post is that Bioware offers free MULTIPLAYER DLC for an RPG? You are really going to sit there and tell me that a bunch of maps, characters and weapons for a what has been until now a single player RPG is better than additional single player DLCs for The Witcher 2.

Man I am done here. If you still can not see how some of the directions taken by Bioware is alienating them from their fanbase and was a contributing factor in the blowout that happened due to the ME3 ending, then I don't know what else I can say.

As for the ME2 GoTY edition on PS3, good on them for doing something that has become a commonplace in the industry (although one has to ask why they left out arrival, it seems so petty). Now why in hell would they not do the same thing for the Trilogy pack they are releasing for $60. Hell why not just release a GoTY edition of ME1 & 2 on the other systems instead of this Trilogy pack? It would be cheaper to just go out and buy the three games separately.
