My specs are quite better for 1920x1080.

And also, it's good to have better GPU. So we suggest that you should go for an upgrade.

His GPU is fine. If he upgrades his GPU he will be limited by that CPU.

Ah, good point. Lol!
I usually thought the GPU alone takes care of the screen resolution, least I learned something new. :P

Two things: CPU and GPU.
These two are important, don't forget a good amount of RAM.

Alright, now the next thing is the setup. I turned on my computer, I can see the bios and Windows, but after that, the screen goes black. I can see the mouse and it's movable, but what now?
Everything is running, but I can't see what else is there to do. A little help here? :|

I am not sure what parts you are talking about. I am sure they are just additional cables and extras.millerlight89

I wish I could take a picture to show you, but my camera has run out of juice. And yes they're cables and spare extras.
I'm sorry, I'm just askin just to be sure.

[QUOTE="millerlight89"] So it's not an Antec, Corsair, etc? I am not 100% sure, but you may be in trouble.UltimateGamer95

Honestly I don't know the brand name, I might've just stick with that default setting and thought she'll do fine. But now that you mention it, ouch. :( (And by the way, I ordered this on iBuypower.)

Is it too late to change the PSU?

You should call them and see if you can change it. Why didn't you have someone build you a rig instead?

Well since this is a new day, well guess what. My new computer just came in today. Woot! :D
Ok, so I did some check-ups and you know what? When I checked out the PSU, it's not 500 watt, it's 700! I don't know, maybe they thought it's not a good PSU and changed that into something better...

I have a new thread so I'll explain the rest there.

Hey there guys, today my computer has finally arrived by mail and holy snits! She's a huge beast! (Hehe, my first time owning a gaming rig.)

Here are my specs:

NZXT Tempest EVO Gaming Tower Case

Intel® Core™ i7 920 Processor

CoolerMaster V8 CPU Cooling Fan System

12 GB DDR3-1333 Triple Memory Module - Corsair or Major Brand

ATI Radeon HD 5850 - 1GB

MSI X58 PRO-E -- Intel X58 CrossFire Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, Triple-Channel DDR3, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, Triple PCI-E MB

500 Watt PSU (Now it's a 700 watt from ZEON)

1.5 TB HARD DRIVE

LG BLU-RAY Re-Writer, DVD±R/±RW Burner Combo Drive

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

One change I noticed is the PSU. I still have the receipt and it says 500 watts. I guess they must've changed it to make me happy or something. Yea I got this rig from iBuypower.

But I also have other parts to go with, like connectors and some other things to go with. I know this may sound like a silly question but are they important too? Should I also install those too with my new rig?

And lastly, with the fallowing specs I listed, would it be possible to OC my rig? And if so, how high can I go? It's customed so I know it works, but would these do?

Yea I'm a little noobie. :P
