You do have an awesome graphics card, nice processor for i7, 6Gigs of DDR3 is more than enough for now, so I'll say it's a good gaming rig. Overclock that and you're all set. ^^
But wait, do you have a cooling liquid/fan for the processor?
And remember, if you're gonna use SLI/Cross Fire mode (more than one graphic cards), be sure to get a higher wattage.
Oh and check to see if they're compatable.

This, but also be sure to check the amps on the 12v. Alot of people see that a PSU is "high-wattage" and never think to look at the 12v rails. Thank you bro. :P
If it breaks, then you're not covered. So use it with caution. If I were to overclock my graphics card... nah! I'll be happy with the default settings.
Maybe it has to do with the graphic card. Usualy it makes sounds when active, leave it alone and it'll go idle. Perhaps that's where it's coming from. I would go and inspect the card, check like fans or something loose.
Either version runs fine, the difference is the versions. 32 bit and 64 bit. I personally go for Windows 7 in 64 bit. At least from what I've researched so far.
My sister bought it just as soon someone sold it to the store owner. And yet she still works like magic. It's almost 15 years old, but guess what? There are good titles on the 64, just expect good gameplay. No high def, no online gameplay, more... uh... less polygonic. But hey, I grew up with the 64, and I still love it. =)
I got mine from iBuypower. That is if anyone is too lazy to build theirs. So... I'm one of them! XD You could save like... $300-$600 off if you choose to build yourself. (Mine is $2,000! O.o )
