Lol, no. Sony are either lying through their teeth or completely deluded in thinking that there is a big enough audience for the Vita to sell 8 million units worldwide by March next year because realistically, they won't even get close to that number. This number was revised down from 10 million (you read that right).
The 3DS sold 3.6 million units before the price drop, and probably would've sold a good chunk over 4 million had the 3DS released during the Christmas season in Japan like the Vita did.
The Vita will suffer a premature death if things do not change soon.
What? Most people would prefer to play console-quality games in the comfort of their homes with a big screen, not on a bus. This is where smartphones come in for playing games on the go.
When you're not in the house, you're doing something else.
If you're talking hardware and software sales then yes, the USA is bigger than Japan and any other region for that matter. I'm amazed how little research you actually do yet still strut around pretending you know what you're talking about.
Yeah. But if you're like me being British and being a native English speaker it's not such a problem. Even then Japan does ignore us from time to time.
Yeah, there are more gamers in Japan to the overall population than there are in the US, but then Europe also has a much bigger population than the US. A problem with Europe is that there are so many different countries with different languages and laws, and back in the day Japanese developers didn't bother with us a lot. Chrono Trigger was never released here, can you believe that?
I know. Japan is a market in itself pretty much, fan translations of games not released in the West are popular, but I am sure you know that already ;-)
