[QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"]PC is last gen, where is the rumble? Lack of immersion.FragTycoon

I'm hoping this is a joke for a couple of reasons. :|

I never got the whole fad with rumble. It NEVER enhanced my experience in any way whatsoever. When the original Six Axis had no rumble I didn't notice it for once second. In fact it was kinda annoying in some ways.

Miss IMO, I just dont see the point in this device, no stylus for doing any kind of art work (This would have been perfect for photoshoppers on the go), Iphone/Touch can do everything this oversized iphone can do at a cheaper and more pocket size, and its too damn expensive w/all the bells and lights

WTF was Apple thinking bringing in this device? What is the point of it? What was it made to DO?. So underwhelming.

In my opinion,i think this was a good decade for music.aerial6790
There Is always great music out there. but this list is terrible. And I don't even listen to music that much. #2 is "99 problems" by Jay-Z? What? I would gladly replace that with "Stan", what BS

Its not that RTS's cant be done on consoles. Its just the controls will limit any kind of growing competitive play. Look at Starcraft for example. The game grew because of its insane play style among pros. Lets face it, an RTS is not fun without the crazy macros, Insane rushes, and skillful/strategic game play. On consoles it could work, but it will all boil down to a slow moving game because the controls limit you to only a few things at a time. So no, in that respect RTS's will never blossom on consoles.

I must say in MW2 the mechanics are extremely flawed, that catters more towards camping and selfish playing, instead of objective reaching and bieng a team player.. sSubZerOo
That's pretty much the basis for all modern shooters today. Even Counterstrike 1.6 had more teamwork than MW2. Probably why it lasted so long as well.

It did look good at the time. Too bad the "gameplay" part of the equation sucked hard...

Street Fighter by far. MK was a slow, clumsy fighter that only got a good player base because of the blood and fatalities. If it werent for all the politicians and their wives getting their panties in a bunch over MK and Doom, basically giving them worldwide free advertising, they wouldnt be remembered as the classics they are today. The Street Fighter series earned its classic status by basically starting the fighting game phenomenon and by being the best.

While I agree that your statement describes MK pretty well. Doom was on a completely different level, and you cant classify it in your example. No other game at that time had the gameplay, graphics or atmosphere, that Doom had. And if they did they sure as hell did not pull it off as well as Doom did. Did the publicity help the sales of the game? Of course, but did Doom ride off all that pub? Hell no..
