[QUOTE="kingobaid"]well, here in America it maybe 18 legal age, but in England you can drink beer at the age of 16 and pretty much in the rest of Europe when your 16, your an adult. Tom1243

um...well tbh living in England, i know from before i was 18, 18 is the legal age....but i thought the drinking age in America was 21...

That is correct. The legal drinking age in America is 21.

You know what I find funny about that. There are mature kids on here but you would just assume they were adults and move on, however when there are some kids that show the rest up you act like their all like that. Immaturity and stereotyping are activities for all ages you know.proud722

Maybe I missed something, but I didn't see anyone say that all kids act like that. Some younger people are mature for their age, but we are not talking to or about those people. This thread is reguarding those kid's who act their age.

Well, that's fine, if you live in England. You have to obey the laws of the country you are in, whether you like it or not.

Also, the kid's in the two post metioned in this forum were 14 and 15, still not of legal age, in England or otherwise.

There is a reason America has set the age requirements that it has set. As Palantas said, if you don't agree with it, write your congressman. This is the adult way of handling things, not whining about it on an Xbox forum. Show that you can be mature by handling things in a mature fashion.

Hey everyone, this is like my first post here on gamespot and I just wanted an opinion from anybody with a "level head". No fanboy responses please....

I really enjoy metal gear solid and I think it's a fantastic game. Problem is, like most in the "360 forum" I don't own a ps3 just an xbox... But I am actually contemplating putting down 500 for the ps3/mgs4 bundle when it comes out on june 12. I am by no means rich and I would definitely be reaching deep into my pockets for this one. And this would definitely hurt me in the future as there are some great games for both systems, namely the 360, for which some bad ass games are coming out this summer; and i need money for those games as well. Soooo question is, I am on the fence about this one, and I would like to hear opinions from maybe someone in the same situation about what you "would" or "will" do this upcoming june 12.

I guess i just need someone to convince me in either direction, because I am totally on the fence about this one. :?

First of all,

for which some bad ass games are coming out

How did you get that to not be censored? I usually can't even type the word cl*** w/o them censoring it.

Anyway, If there are just a few games you want to play on the PS3, I'd recommend saving the money by not buying it and just rent the system and the games you want to play. That way you can have the best of both worlds and not pay $500 to play a few games. You can play Metal Gear Solid for a little while and still have the money to buy new games for the 360 this summer. Or, if a freind has it, play at a friends house. You'll save even more money that way.

King Kong, You'll get all 1,000 gamer points just for beating the game. You should also read this: http://www.gamespot.com/users/Palantas/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-25415142 It might give you a few pointers on gamer points.

Also, if you message this user (Palantas) I'm sure he could help you out.

You already have games for the 360, so you should definately get another one. Get the one with the new chip in it. (Can't remember what it's called, maybe someone can help) The chip is designed to keep it from overheating. Also, make sure that there is enough circulation around it. These two tips should make it as reliable as any PS3. Just do some research, and find the one with the new chip. You'll be glad you did.

[QUOTE="PyroPice"][QUOTE="callen3"]Call of duty 4 is probably the best shooter of all time.callen3

you make me want to cry..............please dont listen to this man.........if you want multiplayer go for gears, but if your looking for singel player bioshock might be worht a look, or you can go with the orange boz and get the best of both worlds,

I would have said gears, but the muiltiplayer is broken. The host has such an advantage in gears of war that its not worth playing. However, in CoD4, there is hardly any lag whatsoever, and no host advantage.

If you're looking for a fun, different multiplayer, get the Orange Box. I really is worth the money bought new. there are several "games" in one, and Team Fortress is a lot of fun to play online.
