Forgot to add the point of that. My point is people are working on both software and hardware. together , someone is going make a great program that is going to make all games better.
If anyone haven't seen them yet, then here are all the Tech Demos you can see on graphics, physics and AI for the next generation! I'm showing them Because people aren't excited for the Next-Gen, and I want to show what you'll be getting:
Angry Birds, has SNES graphics, but could it have been made for the SNES? I don't think so because, one, real-time physics wasn't made back then, and two, Can you really run physics on a 1990 System?
And these are just *some* of the new tech that's being made for everything to do with graphics:
@FandomTheory @RedWave247 I don't know if you are reading this, But let me just say: life is too, too, too, Too, TOO short to be waiting on our asses, hoping for some magic game to be made by EA and Activision. IT's not going to happen!
I rather take the damn risk, and see the future like a human being, then to die in a cave, hoping for the rain like some Neanderthal!
And as for Minecraft: Yes, you are partly right. But could Minecraft have been made 20 years ago? Or 15 years ago? Or even 10 years ago? No, it could not. The Hardware needed to be there! And that's what I'm tryig to say: maybe another Super Minecraft game is waiting to be made, But The hardware is not there yet.
All those great game ideas, and we just need the Hardware power to do it.
What new games, and game ideas can you think of, that CAN NOT be made for the PS2? Because some of the games you mention aren't even on the PS3/360.
Which make me want to ask another question: Why do you even care if the next gen is coming or not? It's sounds like you would be happy if all the new consoles were smashed and we all went back to the NES. I can't even see why you would care if Developers stop working on this gen of consoles, because you would still have the PSN, xbox live, DS, 3DS, PSP, Vita, iphone, PC and all those Indie games.
What about Minecraft, Red Faction Guerrilla, From Dust, Assassin's Creed, Fracture, Half-Life 2, PS3's MAG, Hydrophobia, or Alone In The Dark? These are games that needed the current Hardware to work, and there are going to be games for the PS4/720 that are impossible to do in the current generation, and I want to see it.
@RedWave247 "Why not see what this current generation of games IS capable of rather than pushing to another generation so soon?"
Because I've seen everything that this generation can do. 2011 was full of FPS shooters that didn't do *anything* new. The makers of Bodycount said they couldn't make everything destructible, because they didn't have enough RAM on the consoles! Developers *DON'T* have time to work out some new weird gameplay; they got enough problems dealing with bugs, and trying to make the game look it's best with the outdated hardware they have.
What, exactly, can they do on this Gen, that wouldn't be better on the Next gen? Please tell me. Because all the ideas I have for gaming can only be done on the PS4 and XBOX 720.
What if you could be in a HUGE battle, with thousands of bad guys? What If Trees can grow in real time? What if everything was destructible, like buildings and Trees. What if you have real-time Space battles like this:

Don't you want more games to DO more things? Don't you want them to have bigger worlds? Don't you want more games to be like minecraft, or red faction, or from dust?

Well, games on this Gen can't do all that, they *need* better and bigger hardware. photo-realistic graphics doesn't just mean things will look nicer, it means we can do things that we couldn't do before.
