Top 5! GameBoy/GBC

One of my all time favourite systems, and my all time favourite game is on here too!

5) Super Mario Land

This game was as hard as I remember, seeing as I played a few levels yesterday. While it may lack some of the Mario essentials (different music, no Bowser) it's still one of my all time favourite platformers.

4) The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons

This one is awesome. While it may not make as much sense as previous titles, it's still fun as hell. And (as far as I know) it was the introduction to my favourite Zelda items. The Roc's Feather/Roc's Cape.

3) Pokemon Crystal

I loved this game like it was a child. The introduction to Johto, and 150 more Pokemon to collect. And for those hard to find ones, there was a Time Machine, allowing you to trade with Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow. Truly an amazing game.

2) The Legend of Zleda: Link's Awakening

"Insert #4's description here" Except add the whole new items I remember.

1) Pokemon Red

By far the best game ever made, I spent countless hours trying to beat each Gym Leader, capture each legendary bird, and take down Team Rocket. I still today play it like it's a new game that came out just days ago.

Honorable Mentions: Donkey Kong Land 2,Super Mario Bros Deluxe, Mario Golf/Tennis.

Top 5! SNES

I'm doing one of these each day until I hit the Wii. Oldest to newest. Next up after this, the Game Boy!

5) Contra III

A lot of people say it's the worst Contra game out there, but I disagree. This one is an all time favourite. I'm never selling this for $3!

4) Doney Kong Country

Originals are the best. DKC proves that thoroughly. Cool graphics at the time, the ability to play as DK's younger brother Diddy Kong, and tons of baddies. What else can't be good?

3) F-Zero

Probably the b est racing game for t's time, F-Zero started the high-speed, destructing race genre we see today, with games like Grand Turismo, and Need For Speed. And it introduced one of my favourite Brawlers, Captain Falcon!

2) The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.

This game is by far my favourite Zelda game. A lot rave about Ocaina of Time or Twilight Princess. Yes, those were good games, and I loved Ocarina, but ALTTP just topped it. With a top-down view too.

1) Super Mario World

This is definately the best SNES game I know, and I don't think it could be any better. With the ability to fil, ride Yoshi, and beat 7 Koopa bosses! What's not to like about it? #1 favourite SNES game, and one of my all-time favourite games.

Honorable Mentions: Super Mario RPG, Kirby Super Star, Contra I/II

Top 5! NES

I got bored, so I thought I'd do a top 5 list for each Nintendo system. From the NES to Wii, I'm doing it.

5) Super Mario 3

I know a lot of you are thinking, "What the hell! This should be #1!". I did enjoy SMB3, but it wasn't the best game on the NES. It did make my Top 5, so that's an award in the bag right there!

4) Donkey Kong

One of Nintendo's first games, this one started out as an arcade machine, and later returned as a console game. Mario (AKA Jumpman) has to climb to the top of a construction site to rescue his girlfriend, Pauline, from Donkey Kong. A cult classic.

3) Kirby's Adventure

The game's another cult classic. The pink puffball appeared out of nowhere and started eating his opponets, stealing their powers in the process. The little guy's never gave up, even after getting diabetes from eating all those Invincibility Candies!

2) Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles II

While it didn't spark the same ammount of hype as the Arcade version, the game is still fun as hell, and I loved playing the game. They may have dropped a lot of features from the original, like the Four-Player mode, and the graphics, but it's still a great game, and an immediate pick-up for anyone with an NES.

1) Mega Man 2

What can I say, I love this game. I loved it on the NES, and I love it on the VC. The game is by far the best Mega Man game out there! I say it's better than Mega Man 9. The game wasn't much different from the original, but it was fun as hell, and it even had it's own Japanese song for the boss, Air Man. (Song titled "Airman ga no taosenai") You can find the song on Youtube or iTunes. A great game, and I'm gonna go play it now.

Honorable Mentions: Super Mario 2, Mega Man 3, Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, and Ghosts 'n' Goblins.

Video Game Survivor, hosted by Toadster101, version 1.3... I think

Don't sue me for using the logo, toadster.

Video Game Survivor is the exact same as the title fortells. The hit TV show, Survivor, but with many video game characters as the castaways.

I'm advertising for fun! I am not getting paid to say that!

The rules are simple. Go to the Kirby 5 Star union and register! You can pick a character to represent you (i.e. Mario, Ike, Ness, Ozzy Osborne, anyone but a Pokemon character) and you pick three Pokemon to help you within specific challenges.

So head to the union and register! I won't get paid if you don't!

PokeSocial

I recieved a PM today from a user named DragonMew. Apparantly, there's a thing called PokeSocial. It's like facebook, but for Pokemon fans. I haven't checked it out, but I will soon. The site is www.pokemonfan.com/community The link may have some problems, though.

Brawl's Tier List

RANT WARNING! You've heard of Tiers, right? Sure, who hasn't. But why are these even here? No one really uses them. They don't pose much of a threat to us.... Via Wi-Fi, they actually do. I have found a severe threat within the Tiers. Almost everyone I face on Wi-Fi uses a Top-Tier character, like Falco, R.O.B. or Marth. The only Top-Tier character I don't see is King Dedede. (Surprising, he's Top-Tier) A number of people want to abolish the Tiers. Called "Anti-Tiers", these people believe all characters are played equally. (You know, except Pit and Jigglypuff. Thank god Pit's Low-Tier) I see, day by day, more and more people using higher-tiered characters. The only reason I main a High-Tier is because he was my most wanted. How is Mewtwo Low-Tier while Lucario is High-Tier? They roughly share the same moveset. All this comotion proves that Tiers have no use. All they really prove is who's used more often in tournys. Does that REALLY affect which character is the best? No, it doesn't. If you are a player who plays the game and cares about being the best in the world, you are a Tier-Reinforcer. The ones who care about being better than anyone in the world are who started the Tiers. These worldwide tournys are to blame. If you are a player who plays just to test their abilties, to play the best you can, you are an Anti-Tier. You are the protagonist in this never-ending quest. The bottom line, Tiers exist, wether we want them or not. We can try to stop them, but it would fail. They only prove who's used more. Nothing else.

Happy New Year!

It's 12:19AM, and it's 2009! I believe 2008 went by TOO fast. But the New Year's here! Let's celebrate! As I asked before, any resolutions? Mine is to beat my All-Time Rival in SSBB. (You know who you are)
