Personaly, I'd pick the casual games because I can at least play with my friends and have fun before the novelty wears off.

I would like to point out there is a lot of gamers who are over 14 who love ssbb more than gta 4, I'm one of them, but that does not mean they need to grow up,it just means that they have different taste in games
