"Backwards compatibility is crap because noone actually uses it." Bloodflowers, I can't tell you how many times I've played FFVII, VIII, and IX on my PlayStation 2, as well as Twisted Metal with my friends. Also, what are people going to be doing with their PS3's as they wait for Metal Gear and Final Fantasy? Play Resistance Fall of Man? That will last them all of 15 hours at most. People will want to play their PlayStation 2 games to hold them over, and backwards compatibility would at least act like some sort of apology for the wait and extra price. "We're sorry you paid so much more and have no AAA titles to give you, but at least we're thinking of you and gave you backwards compatibility so you don't have to bother with plugging and unplugging your consoles to play those old classics while you wait for new titles" Sincerely, -Sony (not) Sony is seriously full of crap.

You'll spend so much time zoomed out that you probably wouldn't notice the difference between high and low textures, shadows, or anything else like you would in other RTS games, like Company of Heroes or C&C 3, which zoom out only 25 feet. Just turn down the quality. You won't be able to tell the difference.

What about developers and publishers who release games while they're still in beta form, or in similar unpolished states? Dark Messiah could've been awesome with a little more work and tweaking. Instead it turned out to be full of glitches and gameplay imbalances. They released patches almost immediately after it's launch, which is another indicator that the devs knew how buggy it was at launch. Dark Crusade for Dawn of War could've been the best expansion pack ever, but the Necrons are so OP'd that they completely pwn all SIX of the other races, and you can't manually target enemies with entrenched units (like heavy weapons teams). There are so many balance issues to work out that there hasn't been a single patch released that deals with these issues since its release date. The forums over at Relic have virtually been turned into Q&A about the game. I wish they would just FINISH the games they started to create before launching them. Sure, sometimes it's really fun to find an exploit or something, but I don't want to feel like I'm testing a game for free and then report the bugs so they can patch it later.
