This seems to push for a team work and survival based experience, which Crysis is certainly not.

It is a nice concept, but transferring it onto paper, and then hard code would be difficult.

From the sounds of it, each game would have to be an isolated experience. The game starts, stuff happens, it ends. Noone would be able to join mid game, and if a bunch of people just left it would ruin it.

Then consider each game being isolated, how long would it go for?

Anyone who has several hours spare for one online gaming session is already off playing Civilization. ;)

For some people, realism will add chunks to the enjoyability of a game.

Yeah, the people who buy Need For Speed games.

XBLA is keeping retro style gaming alive for me. Geometry Wars 2!

Anybody have reccomendations for good Xbox 360 single-player games? Also, good PS3 single-player games as well (other than Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, MGS4 and GTA, which I've already completed).

Sounds like some similar beef I've been having with Team Fortress 2 lately.

You don't have anything added to your game collection so with no knowledge of your PC or other console capabilities, and nothing to go on other than "Xbox 360 single-player games", I'll suggest -

Beautiful Katamari - a perfect choice if you're looking for something pure fun and laid back.

Bioshock - A given, if you haven't already played it.

LEGO Indiana Jones The Original Adventures can be a lot of fun, especially if you have someone to co-op with. Great if you want to still game socially without all the competition, and lots of LEGO!

Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band are a hoot alone or with friends.

Lost Odyssey, while I haven't played it - looks nice if you're a fan of RPG's. Four dual-layer discs, you know there's some content in there.

If these are all off the mark, with a few more specifics I could narrow down something good :)

(oh also, no idea about PS3 from me. All I can suggest is what you've already mentioned. Wasn't MGS 4 great?)

But if it's true, couldn't they just change that word "Morphiene" to something like "Good Stuff"?

Guess this proves that no game is safe from ridiculous scandals these days.

Though I guess it is valid. All they needed to do was not use the F word, and with popular media today I really could see a young girl being effected by this game telling her she's fat.

I haven't played Wii Fit but if it literally measures your BMI and calls you fat as it seems, that is a bit touchy. Get over it though, obviously you need to work out!

With Wii Fit!

Need For Speed was dead long ago. EA saw the cash behind it and the Burnout franchise and took both series on a horrible spin of becoming more and more like each other for the worse.

Soon they probably will just be the one game, "Need For Burnouts"

I AM SO KEEN FOR GTA V

hehe, of course it will be many years so it's just fun predicting for now.

I'll go with 2011 for a GTA V, but spin-offs in-between that.

I'll be playing this for the first time tonight, I've heard it's not too great.

I haven't played much of the original games so that first post was good coverage on what the series should be or is about, thanks!
